that's how he is in any interviews, and you're right, it is pretty refreshing! Like he'll obviously make a joke when given the chance, but he is very genuine and definitely wants to get heartfelt messages out as well.

The way he welcomes and includes his disabled fans, fans that are deaf, or in wheelchairs is amazing to me. I fell in love with him the first time I saw him respond that way to his fans.

He is on various Podcast being interviewed. He is hilarious and kind. I love a comedian who does crowd work. It makes it so good because it isn't planned. He has to be quick on his feet. Now I see he does have pre-planned jokes too. I guess it is harder doing crowd work on a big special. He has become one of my favorite comedians from watching his TH-cam videos.

"Paid his dues?" Sure, just goes to show, even if you have to stick with it all the way to the ripe old age of 28, you can still make it. Look, we agree he earned it, he worked hard, he's funny, there's demand for his supply, but to say someone this young "paid his dues" is simply a misapplication of that phrase. Not trying to gatekeep, he deserves it, but he's a young success story. Rodney Dangerfield paid his dues.

I saw Matt live last night in Seattle. He was phenomenal! So personal. Connected with his audience. Quick witted and genuinely grateful for everyone there. We all took a photo with him in the audience. Best night I’ve had in such a long time.

Matt Rife is such a good guy with a good head on shoulders, and insanely talented. His crowd work (no one else writing it, no stealing of jokes, just sheer talent) is unparalleled and a testament to his talent. Seen both his specials and looking forward to the Netflix one on Nov 15th.
We are all witnessing this guys rise and it’s awesome! I found who he was because of Wild ‘N Out ngl. Now I find myself in loops on TH-cam, watching his crowd work, interviews, and even his ghost hunting with the Overnight crew. Best part about it, he’s ridiculously humble. Love when someone wins. the crazy thing is, i know about him because he’s friends with the guys on the channel Overnight and so i first saw him in their videos ghost hunting with them several years ago and that’s how i discovered him and found out he’s a comedian. and now he’s had such a major success that he’s even on jimmy fallon and coming out with a netflix special?! INSANE!!!! SO PROUD and well deserved success

I was half raised by my grandparents, and it’s definitely… so very inspiring and full of different perspective/sayings. They were my favorite people in the world, and I learned so, so much.
His show ‘Mathew Steven Rife’ will forever be my favourite of his shows. Not because it was his best work but because of the heart and soul tribute it was/is to his Grandpa/Mentor/Biggest Fan Steve! I enjoyed his work before this show but the MSR showed a genuine, humble and thankful comedian who earned his place on any stage. RIP Grandpa Steve, no doubt you’re proud of him as he is for being your grandson.
