    Thank you for the review Kyle. Once I'm back on my feet I might just get this setup. I'm currently running the Badlands jacket and pants. Even with my Fly cooling vest and all vents open it gats toasty when the temps get over 100 degrees.

    Thanks for review and answering comments for everyone to read. What’s the difference between these and the Mojave line?

    • @manybikes
      @manybikes  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes sir! The Mojave is much thinner and less abrasion resistant. Mojave is designed for dirt where these are designed for street use.

      @@manybikes thanks! I’m riding a crf250l in a hot climate and mainly ride gravel roads and sandy trails in a desert. I ride about 10 mins to these areas on-road with speed limits of mainly 25-40 with a short 60mph stints. Which line do you think would be a better compromise?

    Great video Kyle! I have a Latitude jacket now but looking for a lighter, cooler jacket for summer. Do you use the Baja with the appropriate pads in place or are you using one of the armoured rigs instead? For the time being, I'll mainly be on logging roads and flat, graded gravel roads.

      I actually wear the included D3O armor as it was intended most of the time... unless I am riding "Hard Adventure" with @everysinglesunday and then I wear a full Forcefield Suit under the Baja S4. It is a great suit!

    Great review with tons of information. I am currently trying to decide between the Baha S4 and Marrakesh jacket for on road sport touring. Not worried about waterproofing. As far as safety goes and abrasion at higher speeds on asphalt, which would you recommend. I am going to upgrade whichever one to the lvl 2 armor.

    • @manybikes
      @manybikes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The Marakesh is the most comfortable mesh jacket I’ve ever worn. It’s stretchy and feel really good. BUT I find the Baja S4 to be considerably cooler as it flows more air, possibly due to the larger mesh holes. I feel “more protected” in the Baja S4 as its a little more robust in fabric / construction. The pockets on the Baja S4 lend itself more to touring as well. Any specific questions?

    • @braddickerson704

      @@manybikes Thank you for your response. I have a 30 inch inseam. I tried on the Latitude in the 34 short and it was still much to long...Definitely not a traditional 32. So in comparing the baha to the Latitude...do you feel it is the same fit. The Marrakesh fit great and was very comfortable. I know it says 1000D cordura for the jacket but I just couldn't rationalize how it well it would protect in an on road slide with how soft it felt.

    • @manybikes

    Trying to decide on this vs the Rev It Cayenne Pro. Such a hard decision. It seems like the Klim vents better and is more comfortable, but the RevIt will protect better on the road. Any insights would be appreciated. Great video!

  • @MotoTravelUSA
    @MotoTravelUSA 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hey Kyle...do you feel the baja s4 jacket can handle as low as about 35f when used with the enduro s4 and a puffer jacket or does too much wind gets through? I'm looking for a Klim Latitude replacement. which has been great, but the heat is unbearable and off road gets warm. Also, if the pads are out, does separate armor fit underneath well? Thanks! Another great informative video.

    • @manybikes
      @manybikes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, Yes and Yes. I have ridden in 28 degrees with a light mid layer, the Baja S4 and the Enduro S4 on top and was toasty for about an hour or so... then the cold crept in while on the highway. Off Road moving around in the saddle even at those temps I got HOT... Yes... it is a great system.

    Hey Kyle- glad your loving life. I'm thinking of ordering some Baja pants to go with the jacket. If they vent the same way the jacket does I'll be very happy. I was also thinking of the Kodiak Pants any experience with those? Would you say the Baja's vert better and are cooler?
    Thanks for your help Kyle,

    • @manybikes

      Thanks for your inquiry. I wore the Kodiak for a season when they were released. Basically a Badlands with leather instead of super fabric in European sizing. The Baja S4 pants vent identically as the Baja S4 jacket. Highly recommended.

    Great jacket and pants. Love everything about the jacket except the front pockets and hydration compt. The front pocket zippers and flap design is cumbersome to open and the pocket size is a little too small for bigger phone like IPhone 11 Pro Max. The hydration idea is not practical because the weight of the water bladder will pull the jacket to the neck. As for the pants, the side pockets are too big. When sitting down or squat, the items in the pocket will be sandwiched between hip and lower leg.

    I bought myself a different Klim Jacket, the Badlands pro. I am very disappointed about this product, it is so much of not practical. It states to have a lot of pockets, but acutally you cant use them, they are to small, of are made of mesh material, or are being blocked when u open the upper part with the straps to hold it open. It very uncomfortable, it feels like a middleage armor made of metal.
    I rode with it about 500km and bought myself a Rukka R.O.R. jacket with a additional protector suit inside it. That is so much more quality and comfort.
    Sorry but for me : No Klim again. Overrated and not good for real world usage
