Mmm no pistols aren't crazy loud unless its a short barrel .44 - you've clearly never fired one, most pistols are 160db which is only twice the level of the average human talking. Oh and btw this video is in an open field meaning greatly reduced reverb and thus quieter sound.
@@Zwia. mmm no, speaking volume is around 60 decibels and anything above 120 decibels can damage your hearing. Clearly you’ve never fired one. Also no, being outside doesn’t reduce the decibel levels, so your point is moot. Learn some science and actually own and fire guns.
@@Ligierthegreensun yeah once I shot a gun and my hearing protection was a little too small and the gun made me temporarily deaf for like 5 mins and full hearing was back in like 20 mins
Amazing sound design, this is very realistic! I shoot a lot at an outdoor range, and the rumbling echo of a gunshot is very distinct... and so many games get it completely wrong.
So true. I personally préfère to download real guns sounds from diverse sources like TH-cam and replace them in Arma 3. Even JSFS and other addons don’t sound near like the real ones 😢
Too bad most guns in video games never have these types of detailed sounds or loudness, not even the echoes. It would make gunplay feel more powerful if more games did this.
The thing is, Most guns in games are still hella loud. Just not for the person firing. you can hear gunshots from halfway across the map in some games. Pubg is an example only thing missing is the round crackling through the air
I hate how in most games when a bullet flys by you hear “SWOOSH” and when a bullet lands near you you hear a “POOSH” or “PASH” but In Realistic shooters you don’t here that Arcadey gunshot sound, and when I bullet lands near you you here a “PAK” Or “THWAK”
Great example of exactly how they should not sound. Tarkov only sounds relatively realistic when indoors. Squad is the only game that gets it 99% right and it sounds freaking amazing. Vehicles and heavy weapons too. Recoil animations. Finally someone gets it fucking right, geez. Everything on point, it's beautiful. God bless Offworld Industries!
Squad is a masterpiece. Truly the only game that got it almost prefect. I hope they keep adding improvements for sounds. Every time they did it made it more fun to play. I like the echoes this guy had in this video
And here we see someone who has no fucking clue what he is talking about cause he never stood next to a real gun, held or even less, fired one. If he did he would know that unless youre bump firing a 12.7x99 or shotgun with a simple stock and slugs, recoil will barely be a thing. Will you feel a push? Yes. Can you literally one hand an AR to some extend without loosing all accuracy? Yes. Almost as if over the past 60 years guns have developed to a point where even the oldest m16 or ak will fire on auto in a fairly straight line for quiet a reach befor loosing a fair bit of accuracy due to "spray". I mean just look up hickhock45, whilst having experience with guns he still remains 71 years old and not build like schwarzenegger. Does it stop him from dumping mags after mags of fully automatic weapons? No. For fuck sake the man has fired a draco AK with a shitty stubby front grip AND AN OLD SOVIET IRON SHAFT.
Battlefield 4 and Battlefield V got the right sounds. While Battlefield Bad Company 2, Battlefield Hardline and Battlefield 1 sounds very bombastic and over the top.
It might be because I short without ear protection on for my first time but it deafens you for a second and and then your hearing comes back to you but muffled
Ghost Recon Wildlands has some of the best player gunshot sounds ever. I say player cuz most the guns carried by NPCs don’t sound good except the rebel AKMs. I was in a canyon fighting some cartel dudes and you could legit hear all the echoing off the canyon walls from all the shots.
thats better but its too quiet in comparison to other sounds, guns are loud, like very loud ... ready or not has quite unique and good gun sounds imo it has best gun sounds from all vanila games and also the feel and effects are just right !
I would play Arma 3 but the controls on PC are confusing asf, like for example: I'll scope in with right click and my character just zooms the camera to my gun and not my sights.
I can't hear shit when I play ArmA 3. I got gun sounds to like just below damaging my hearing. You try to talk to me on the radio during an ambush? Confused screaming is what you'll get back as long as that 12.7mm is firing in my ear.
@@justayoutubeuser8652 arma 3 was made back in 2013, a very old game which runs on a old engine, that’s the reason why they have a steam workshop, so players could immerse themselves in any environment they wish
if the game was realistic you would never hit that guy from such a distance in one shot. i shot many guns included with sights. you often think the target is right where you need it and in reality you miss most of the times. hitting targets from long distances is very hard.
These should all be way louder. Even a pistol without hearing pro is crazy loud.
My character was wearing Tac-coms
Realistic sound does not have to mean realistic volume... you can still replicate the "sound" realistically without actually matching the dB levels.

Ready or Not has the best indoor gun sounds for me.
Bad Company 2 had INCREDIBLE gun sounds
what a satisfying sound, can games developers copy this kind of gun sound especially with third person shooter game
Instead if stupid thump sounds that sounds like helicopters
Game devs are human trash so they'll stick to low quality garbage
And the whole time he was shooting at a civilian. Aww yeah

How about post scriptum? They're made by the same devs I think

we should have that weird soul shaking sound from the walls in indoor places

Modern warfare this year is pretty good

Squads gun sounds only get better with time, just listen to the mg3 they put in there. Also the vehicle sounds are in point as well
