There are several categories of foreign nationals who can enter the Philippines visa-free, but for this video, I would like to focus on those foreign nationals or citizens covered under Executive Order No. 408, as amended.
EO 408 was issued by the late President Carlos P. Garcia way back in 1960 with a purpose of providing a more expeditious system and simpler forms for the encouragement and facilitation of foreign tourist travel to the Philippines.
The authority to prescribe a simple and concise form and an expeditious system of travel documentation of foreign tourists applying for admission to the Philippines is delegated to the Secretary of Foreign Affairs.
As governed by the said Executive Order No. 408 and the subsequent executive issuances amending it, the Department of Foreign Affairs maintains a list of eligible countries whose nationals may avail of visa-free entry to the Philippines on the following conditions:
1. First, that they are holders of passports valid for at least six (6) months beyond the contemplated period of stay. So, if you intend to stay in the Philippines for only 30 days, your passport must have the validity that extends for 6 months beyond the last day of your stay in the Philippines. If you have plan of staying for more than 30 days, you also must make sure that your passport will have the required validity of 6 months beyond your last day of stay in the Philippines. The problem would be if you would extend your stay for a year or 2 or more than that, and by that time, your passport would already have expired. It would be of help if you can renew your passport through your country’s embassy or consulate in the Philippines.
2. Second, that they must also possess return tickets to their country of origin or outward-bound tickets to their next country of destination. This would not be a problem if you are certain of the date of your flight back to your country or onward to your next destination, and you have no plan of extending your stay beyond the 30-day period. But you might want to try the onward ticket which I learned that you can book at a much cheaper price and it provides you the flexibility in your onward flight schedule as it allows you to reschedule your flight. Just make sure that you choose a legitimate provider. Please do your due diligence in that regard.
Yes I’m glad your video provided more clarity and confirmation. I spoke to the Philippine consulate in the US and they advised instead of applying for a visa for my US passport I could just go and then just extend my stay with the BI.

Very much informative & helpful blog. Would like to ascertain, whether or not the Indian nationals are still allowed visa free entry, into the Philippines, with a valid Singapore visa. Please confirm. Have been there twice 5 years ago & was allowed to enter without any visa, being a holder of a Singapore visa.

My main question is IF i stay 36 months in your country can i exit Philippines for example 2 - 4 weeks and re-enter and possibly stay 36 month again . I have visited Philippines a few times previously for work and vacations to see friends and i always enjoyed my stay there 👍 The rain season ( maraming ulan) does not bother me the only thing i dislike are snakes 😅😅😅.

Firstly thank you for your information and if i have understood correctly I could jump on a plane in Germany being a dual British and German National and land in the philippines at Manila airport without any forma paperwork and stay in the philippines for upto 30 days or would i have to get a tourist visa for 30 days at the airport ?

In UK most people are Fully "Unvaccinated" and perfectly healthy.
If the purpose of an Etravel card is for "Tracking" how many jabs people have had, then isn't it irrelevant now?
There are almost no covid restrictions left in any country of the world and UK hasn't had anything covid relative for around a year and people almost forgot it ever existed.
The UK Government website doesn't even mention Etravel one time on the check list of requirements, however the Philippines website states that it is mandatory and boarding flights will be prevented without it.
Also I'd be interested in using your services beyond one day because I'm interested moving to Philippines one day permanently. Salamat

I've just come back from the Philippines, I stayed for 2 months in Dumagette. You need a cheap onward, throw away ticket as proof that you are not staying in the Philippines for more than 30 days. I'm using a one way ticket. But I'll buy a throw away ticket before I leave, so my airline will let me fly.
I'm going next month, I'll buy a onward ticket to Singapore, that I won't use, just for requirements of immigration. Then after 2 weeks, find the nearest Visa place and get an extension for another months stay. It's easy.
Once you've got a 30 day extension visa, just keep extending it before the 30 days are up. That way you can stay much longer. Good luck 🤞.

Being ready with such additional documents is way better. It sometimes saves us from hassles if we are over-prepared. It can bolster the legitimacy of his travel. We need to remember that travellers are always subject to inspection at the immigration control facility and even visa holders are not guaranteed entry all the time.

Is that the current Immigration law or the new bill ? Because the no. 1 you posted is incorrect under the current law, passport good for 6 months is from the date of arrival not date of departure. Says so right on the Philippine Immigration website. I am wondering if they changed that in the new bill ? I already went through this with the airline when they refused me on-board because my passport was not 6 months from date of departure but it was 6 months from date of arrival. I explain to them the law is 6 months from date of arrival not departure and it says so right on the website. It took them quite a long time to confirm this but I boarded the plane and complete my trip with no further issues
That trip was maybe 10 years ago so possibly the law could of changed in those 10 years.
It would be important to know if the new bill changes this.

Just show the immigration officer your outbound ticket to Thailand, and you'll be fine.

Yes. If you are a Filipino citizen or former Filipino citizen and your Canadian child travels with you to the Philippines, the child is entitled to the balikbayan privilege of 1-year stay, visa-free. Just make sure that you have with you the child’s birth certificate as proof.
