From what i understand on this info, the one year balikbayan privilege, with foreign passport, former filipino can stay beyond the one year stay. Does not need to apply for extension? Pls clarify.

Have the laws/requirements changed for Balikbayans? I’ve never been asked for an old Philippine passport (US National) in previous trips to Manila that were over 30 days.

    Can you please answer this?
My Filipino spouse and I are traveling to the Philippines from the United States with the intent to avail the balikbayan program. She has her old passport, and I have our marriage certificate.
Does our marriage certificate need to be apostilled in the United States for it to work as proof of marriage, or a non-apostilled version work?

I wonder if you can clarify, I have read the Balikbayan program info and noted the following
The term “balikbayan” shall mean a Filipino citizen who has been continuously out of the Philippines for a period of at least one (1) year
I am a Canadian citizen and my wife is a Philippine citizen and has permanent residence in Canada.
We have been out of the Philippines for more then 1 year. We plan on returning for approximately 4 months , so my understanding is that when traveling together, we can enter as Balikbayan and there would be no need for me to get tourist visa extensions, etc ( Canadians are initially allowed 30 day visa free, then I need to get an initial 1 month, then a 2 or 6 month extension which is both troublesome and costly )
The question based on the condition above, is after our 4 month visit to the Philippines, we would return to Canada for about 8 months, then travel back again to the Philippines, and this would be our normal yearly routine, so after the first visit, we would not have continuously been out of the Philippines for at least 1 year
I will always be traveling with my wife. Can we continue to avail Balikbayan privilege on subsequent visits or only on occasions where my wife has stayed outside of the Philippines for more then 1 year?

Yes you can regardless how many years she’s out of the country as long as your wife still holding a ph passport even she’s holding a permanent residence visa in Canada, anytime you go back to the country she’s entitled and her husband for a balikbayan visa

I have been a citizen of Australia for more than 30 years and I don't have my original Filipino Birth Certificate and Filipino Passport, but in my Australian Passport personal details stated that my Nationality is Filipino(since I was born in Philippines with Filipino parents) and my Citizenship is Australian. The question is, will that be enough to be class as Balikbayan without other documentation at the Port of entry?
Thank you in advance for your reply.

To avail of the balikbayan privilege as a spouse of a Filipino or former Filipino, you need to be travelling with your spouse.

Sir, good afternoon. I'm always watching your videos, and it was really quite important for all of us. We are now residing here in the phils for a month and planning to stay for good. I am a former filipino with a foreign husband, so when we arrived at immigration we asked for a balikbayan visa. We applied for acr i card voluntary so that we can open a joint bank account.
    Heres the situation,
My husband has his company abroad, and he is receiving monthly income as a salary on our bank account here in the phils. My question is, how will it work when it comes to taxes? We dont have any other income here in the phils but from abroad. Do we still need to pay tax here in the phils upon receiving his salary. We dont have an address anymore abroad.
Thank you so much. I hope you can tackle these topics on your next video.
    Greeting,
    Rachel

Yes. Make sure also that you are from any of those countries listed pursuant to Executive Order No. 408.
