That looks really cute. I over processed mine to obtain this white & my hair fell out, so this video INSPIRED me to cut it this low like my barber originally suggested in the first place. Love this look girl.

He did that on your cut! love a good barber, man! cant pass that up. Did the 40V developer give you the chemical burn? I love going platinum, it looks gorgeous on woc.
Krizz'Tina Mitchell Yes it will. Never use a powder bleach. Use a cream bleach for on the scalp application and only use maximum 20 volume developer. Wear a plastic cap to keep the bleach moist and retain heat. Process until the hair looks like the color of the inside of a banana. A very pale yellow. Then you're good you tone. DO NOT SCRATCH YOUR SCALP FOR TWO DAYS PRIOR TO COLORING. Do NOT wash your hair for a week prior to bleaching. The oil buildup helps unless you have dry scalp. You can always base your scalp if you have dry scalp prior to coloring.
You can go ahead and blast your hair with BW2 and 40V without burning yourself - I did it repeatedly many years ago. The tricks:
DO NOT SCRATCH YOUR SCALP!! This doesn't just apply to when it itches. Avoid scratching or even vigorous rubbing while washing. DO avoid washing your hair for several days before bleaching.
DO NOT retreat the hair the same or next day when it doesn't get light enough. Wait at least a week. Wear a do-rag in between processings if you get Clown Effect after trying to raise virgin hair to white/near-white.
tl;dr Even the tiniest little break in your scalp's "seal" will punish you badly. But if you're super-careful, yes you can use powder bleach right on your scalp, even though they say you can't. Just resist any temptation to do it right after that "one little scratch" you "just couldn't resist." The Bleach Will Know You Did It.

Followed this video using the exact same products and got the result I was looking for! I was a bit nervous since the bleach powder said not to use anything higher than 20vol developer directly on the scalp but it turned out well with no burning.

The back of my neck got burned really bad by the bleach 😩 i was at the hair dresser and she said it’s normal that it’s burning but gurllll it was painful 😣 now I have a red ass spot on my neck but my hair looks bomb 🤦🏾♀️

You made the bleaching process so easy because I want to do this myself but after watching a great number of bleaching videos I was like OH NO NO...NOT TODAY because it just seemed like it was too much of a process and dealing with such strong chemicals I just said no. My hair is about 40% grey already, I just wanted to make it all one color. I wear my hair short as well so thank you for this video because you have motivated me to do this.*

I have this color now and I do have scalp burns all in the front. Looking for some ways to heal the scalp. It doesn’t hurt or anything you can just see what looks like a lot of discoloration
And I dyed twice to get this color I definitely will do it the way you did next time

Question, as a first time bleacher I was advised to do two bleachings to get my hair very light, THEN add the toner to cancel out the yellow. But in this video she did only one bleaching before adding the toner. So can I do the toner after one bleaching?

I know I'm years late but how did the chemical burns heal? Did it just heal over time, did you use anything for it? I had my hair bleached and I have very similar dark marks on my hairline its not hurting or anything. Thanks! BTW I loove this cut and color!
It did heal but it was over time.
Also, I didn’t put anything on it, but sure over the counter ointment would heal it

Brandi McCall hey! When i did work yes it did. My boss would force me to wear makeup over my arms & etc...I HATED it! Once i quit that job i got my hands tattooed, because that was the last day i would work for someone else
