- People come to Philadelphia from all over the world to eat cheesesteaks, but if you ask people who actually live in Philadelphia, they'll tell you the number one sandwich in the city may be served here in South Philly, at a place called John's Roast Pork.

Me and my cousin took an 8 hour road trip to try Philly cheesesteaks all over the city John's Roast Pork hands down is the best one out there

@@UptownNYC Pat's is probably A tier with Geno's at B tier. There's really no reason to go there when every pizza place near you can crank out a B-tier and when most neighborhoods have an A or S-tier option. It's basically a tourist trap, but sometimes you want a cheesesteak at 3am, too.

Nah, Steve's for the cheesesteak. This is probably in the top five though, and it's rare that you'd want yet another cheesesteak when a roast pork sandwich is right there

Only had best in Philly roast pork & great cheese steaks from John's a few times because they are only open until 5 or 5:30 PM & closed on Sundays. Mmm mmm good !

I have never been to John's Roast Pork. I have been hearing a lot about this place so I am going to need to try them out when I get back home/ My favorite spots for a cheesesteak is Jim's Steak, Gooies Louies, Maxes, Philips Steaks and Ishkabibble Cheessteak. Great video

Some places in Philly use Cheez whiz and just “no” to that. I like chunkier steak bits. The finer ones look like dog food.
