Thank you so much for this video. I was trying to get the Windows 7 installed on newer laptops that my client wanted for testing. I spend countless hours but failed. Thank you I was finally able to get it. Really appreciate it Bro.
I'm sorry you can't use a disc . It's only a USB drive. But in case you don't have a usb drive, you can send me a message, and I'll assist you through. pvande509@gmail.com
I can't get passed the third step @6:46 mark. The USB drive indicates two folders to be missing from the download; SUPPORT and UPGRADE. All the other 8 items appear to be present on the drive. Wondering if the anti-virus software is responsible for the incomplete download.
It is either the anti-virus, usb drive fault or your internet connection, but if your Windows 7 installation folder is missing the "support" and "upgrade" folders, it can still work for a fresh installation. In case you tried again and they failed to download the support and upgrade file, kindly send me a message, and I will download them for you. pvande509@gmail.com
@@bwinexx I did a reformat of the the flash drive and was able to go beyond step 4 and completed the download. At this point I'm not interested in creating an .ISO image. My first task is to use NTLite to edit out some of the Windows 7 software components to create a customized version of the OS that complements my mobo's upgraded bios. I subscribed because I believe this video would be extremely useful to a myriad of users who aren't willing to abandon a superlative OS like Win 7. I think I can get Win 7 Ultimate from this download as well since it is a 64 bit OS.😛
I apologize for the confusion. I'm not sure which timestamp you're referring to, but if the issue arises at 6.07, it might indicate that your USB storage capacity is insufficient for the task.
Even after doing all the steps as per your instructions Iam not getting drive properties as yours. After selecting the boot selection my target system is still bios and the partition scheme is still MBR. Is that because Im downloading for 32 bit
Sorry about that but basically, Windows 7 32-bit doesn't naturally support booting from GPT disks, it's more compatible with MBR disks. That's why your boot selection is set to BIOS for Windows 7 32-bit. If you want to use a GPT disk, it's better to use the 64-bit version of Windows 7. If your computer has UEFI firmware, you can use either MBR or GPT, but if it has BIOS firmware, you're limited to MBR.
Most likely, this is because your drive is detected as a USB HDD, which Rufus does not list by default. You can try Alt-F in Rufus. Or click on show advanced drive properties and then check on List USB hard drives. If you are using an external hdd, you may think about it because Rufus will format the whole external drive, not only one partition.

I have followed every step but when trying to do it with my bootable USB it gives an error (it is my old laptop with windows 10 on it) that i want to downgrade again to windows 7
Apologies for any confusion. First, did you create the ISO using ImageBurn? Then, did you use Rufus to create a bootable USB from that ISO? If you encountered any issues during the process, please send me a screenshot of the error. We'll assist you step by step until Windows 7 is installed on your machine. You can reach me at pvande509@gmail.com.

Check your bios and see if you sata operations and Change from "RAID Autodetect / AHCI" to "RAID Autodetect / ATA" (or something similar)
Start the install, let it go up to 10% or something like that (before it reaches the critical 26%), and then cancel the installation. It should take you back to the Install Now screen. Then start the installation again. The installation should work now without any errors.
You may also want to disconnect any unnecessary hardware from the system before starting the installation. This includes any USB peripherals, including but not limited to:

You basically want to disconnect everything except the keyboard and mouse, which is necessary for the installation guide. This may also include:

Of course, not all of these components may be applicable to a laptop computer. And for a desktop installation, you don't want to disconnect the internal disk drive on which you actually want to install Windows on. This is the only disk drive you want to be connected to the system during the installation.
Also, check and see that you don't have bad ram. You can remove some ram or try to clean it up.
You may also re-download the Windows 7 ISO file and create the boot disk again.
Lastly, you can install Windows 7 32 bit instead of 64 bit.
