LEADER HAKEEM JEFFRIES TO BYRON DONALDS: "Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself"

Leader Hakeem Jeffries strongly rebukes conservative Florida Rep. Byron Donalds for insinuating that Black Americans were better off during the Jim Crow Era, one of the most divisive and racially challenging periods in American History. Donalds denies that he conveyed Blacks were somehow treated better during Jim Crow. Leaders in the Congressional Black Caucus and Rev. Al Sharpton publicly condemned his remark which was that Blacks were more "together" during Jim Crow. Donalds was speaking at an event for Black men hosted by a group of Black Republicans in Philadelphia. He has since appeared on several news programs to clear his name.
