Ah, an old school Wranglerstar video! Love these types of videos.
He's not talking about important bigger issues now because it's over for our country, too many economic, political and moral lines have been trampled and our politicians have gone far too far over them. He's someone who talks to a lot of people with a lot of different knowledge levels about where we're headed. It's not good that he's talking about chainsaws in these times. It's another sign that it's over.
@@5-minute-witness356 Maybe...or he's just doing what gets more views, comments, etc... to maximize his revenue. Always remember being a youtube creator is a business that earns money by creating content that gets views and thus, makes money. Lately there have been many comments on his videos about missing the old Wranglerstar videos so it's no surprise he's doing more of those. I just happen to be one of those that enjoys those videos, it was what brought me to his channel way back when he was doing videos about building and rebuilding the ram pump at his old homestead.
@@5-minute-witness356 You can talk about bad stuff all the time and get depressed, or you can get about how to get stuff done and what is important. Than you are able to change stuff. I watched US TV a couple times and i can not understand how not every single one of you guys is running around paniced, paranoid, depressed and full of hatred unable to achive anything after decades of this mental torture.
absolutelly. Went away for some time, nice to see such stuff again.
I love return of old Wranglerstar.
I love how he just ignores rude toxic people and focuses his knowledge and wisdom onto the ones that actually respect him and his family much love from Tasmania
This guy has the cleanest chainsaw I’ve ever seen!
Doesn't look like it gets much use.
@@KevinTownsend-hw5ihit’s called clean your chainsaw and it will last 3 times longer
It’s a beautiful machine. Really inspired me to take care of the one I inherited.
@@KevinTownsend-hw5ih Look at the bar.
The chainsaw wrench can be used to clean the bar. pro tip from Sweden.
Thank you. 👍
Your thoughts on a comfortable work area is spot on
Tip I learned from my Forstwirtschaftsmeister: When you use the compressed air to clean your Bar, don’t blow the dirt into your sprocket blow in the other direction.
I really enjoy your Content, keep it up!
exactly what i came here to say👍
That makes sense 😊
Finally a relevant title 😂
That’s so funny, just add furious rant and we have ProHo lol
Act accordingly beloved
Relevant to what? Your intelligence level?
@Electron42 he's relating to the fact that new wranglerstar videos are all just clickbaity titles meant to grab your attention and don't actually give a good idea of what the video is about. no need to challenge intelligence levels on a comment that is 100% true
Great point!
Love your advice. Scotsman living off grid in Portugal.❤
Wise words about the right to a comfortable workshop! 👏🏻
Thanks for all the maintenance tips. Makes the chainsaw work so much more enjoyable.
Vintage Wranglerstar! I love it! This is the kind of stuff that got me started watching years ago.
So Wholesome, Informative and Based.
Keep up the good work, Mr Wranglerstar!
Fighting for your life sharpening chains, love it.
Keeping you in our prayers,
From the Netherlands
This is Gold for a 24 years old aspiring PROHO.
Thank you Sir.
PS: Buckin' Billy Ray recommends using Oregon Chains, maybe you can do a comparison.
Billy Ray is win. Great channel.
Stay gold.
Stihl is best 🤙Keep yer stick on the ice
I hate Oregon chains. Cutter tooth stihl is the only one I like.
This guy is teaching all the stuff I learned the hard way through trial and error with a fair amount of profanity
Love the informative Wranglerstar videos! Thankyou!
Nice!!! And thanks! I put my chains in a ultrasonic cleaner works as a charm!
Thanks for the video. As arborist for many years, I always like to see other ways people do stuff. I can always learn something new or different to help make anything easier or more efficient. I agree preparation is everything. Once in the woods, you do not have what you do not have. I have always sharpened my saws sitting down. I just found it works for me in the field. Others I know some who sit on top of the saw and some use a vice. Whatever works best. I would mention I always carry a pickaroon along with an axe. I recently learned a little trick with saw chaps that makes them into a burrito for easier storage. I will try find a way to get you a little video showing you the method.
Very inspirational video. Thank you.
An excellent kit. I made the mistake of putting the chain on backwards the first time I cleaned the prior owner's sawdust out of the saw and sharpened the chain... wondered why I was smoking the wood and the chain teeth were discoloring. Boy was my face red with embarrassment even though I was alone.
I love keeping foamies around, but the modern hard hats can have integrated over-ear muffs... but man is that uncomfortable when you're sweating.
No big deal. All you had to do is start the motor in reverse. 😂
I appreciate your speech at 8:52. It spoke volumes to me and more people need to hear it and hear it a second time.
Agreed the whole speech was spot on.
Need more men to continue preaching this. Feminism is a virus.
Thank you Mr.W very helpful even after 30 years of professional tree care good advice is always welcome.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge on chain saws you have some great information .
Your talk about the man cave was spot on. I love my man cave. I love to build things! Amen! 🙏
Yes! Thank you!
Thank you for all of your videos and for sharing your valuable knowledge. The young men (and women) of this current time need these types of vids.
Thanks VERY MUCH for making this video. It was very helpful for me. I know just what to do now. Much appreciated!
Man everything is changing! Whole video without one spillage :D great content as always!
Good show!
Thank You.
chainsaw talk always gives me the fizz
Great comment
Awesome info. Thank you!
Great video lots of information. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the video.
Love old wranglestar content....every 10 or so sharpening and season end, I take off the clutch bell and inspect the friction pads + clean/grease/inspect the roller bearing .... just makes sense to me. I replace as needed. I hate being deep in the woods and having a stop work failure.
Excellent video!!! Thank you!!!💰
Tremendous tips, thanks.
This channel is the absolute best
Excellent presentation, good info, Thank You!
A very General Sam inspired thumbnail. Love it
The last video you made about the man cave was straight truth. Really majored that piece of content. To be honest I enjoy most your content 99% so if I offer constructive criticism it’s because I love your channel and want it to continue to succeed.
Excellent video.
Great job 👏 very informative video
Favorite kind of videos! Thanks for the great content. Been watching for years.
Loved your take on the "man cave". God bless brother
A whistle to signal for or be found in an emergency, and a pickaroon/hookaroon can make or break a day in the woods. Enjoyed the video!
Yes!
I’ve started fine tuning my chainsaw kit. I just got wedges and a stump vice from a flea market today. I carry everything in a wooden Coke crate
Love the life tips along the way. Us guys need it sometimes. 😊
I really appreciate the comments regarding "man cave". I fell into that trap and have assserted my place again. Thanks for all you do, Mr. Wranglerstar.
Been a long time follower/subscriber and I've learned quite a bit from you. First thing I remember is probably your videos on the old Stanley hand planes :) Again, thank you.
Good info. Nice workspace.
Maintenance tips are very helpful and much appreciated. Not a heavy user myself. Have small Stihl. Used mostly for dead limbs that come down during storms. I never did master the filing thing. Use the Stihl sharpener. It is great.
Great Video!!!
Thank you Wranglerstar, I admit I've valued your input on saws and axes for years before, at this point I have the access to more reasonable axes and saws that you've suggested but I still would rather stick to the best. Buy once, cry once eh?
Thank you for your input, and please brother stay safe!!
God bless and may your family remember and honor you as you deserve! God Bless!
Love the advice about creating a good, clean working environment, which can directly contribute to the quality of your work. I also agree with you wholeheartedly when you said “You see to yourself first.” I usually put everyone’s needs ahead of mine and end up neglecting myself, but deep down I know that taking the best care of myself will allow me to take the best care of my loved ones. Great advice 👍
love seeing updates to kits you introduced to us in years past. especially the tools from yesteryears its interesting to see what is new and what is reinstated. Especially that little Stihl chain sharpener very good stuff very informative 👌
Thanks!
Great show,,,,love my Stihl chainsaws ...
Great video. Teaching the things a single Mother never could.
Good stuff.
Awesome upload! Is there such a thing as a class / practice group for learning hands on for the Do's and Don'ts of tree felling ? Wrangler Star as the teacher 😂 That would be a class I would sign up for. You bring us quality information with sincerity. Keep it up brother!
Good video!
Gotta keep my saws going all year. Can’t ever have to much wood 😅 good exercise too
TH-cam's dad.
thanks and hello from Alberta
😊thanks nice tips
Amen brother well said.
Welcome back,this was good
good video. for an old city boy like me trying to be a country boy.
Sir can you please make a video showing how your wood stove works. And if possible a DIY wood stove for room heating.
I don’t even own a chainsaw but I enjoyed watching this!
Limiter strews on the carb, important for Proho when you first get the saw. I think going over how to tune a power head would also be great info. Great vid as always!
I mean I really like caves, love the Man Cave. But I appreciate what you’re saying, great words. 🙏🏼
@00:04:20 atomized gasoline, enclosed space, hot wood burning stove... what could possibly go wrong?
Nice video
Can’t always have the biggest bar but you can have the cleanest
ITS NOT A PHASE MOM!!!!
Good video. I enjoyed watching. When filing a chain, I always wear leather gloves and file until the file doesn't skip on the tooth any longer. You can even hear it stop skipping along during the stroke.
Wise words from a wise man
Off topic:
Any update on using Linen sheets/ clothing?
Very curious.
Chainsaw video was great.
Thank You
Hey Wranglerstar, you should bring back the livestreams if you've got the time.
Thank you sir for being the Mr. Roger’s of the Frontier!!! Truly appreciate you!!!
I find the the quart size zip-lock freezer bags work great for the chains. Also use them for many other organizational tasks in my shop. Gallon size are handy too. They are see through and can be marked with a sharpy.
So I'm not familiar with the gas can quick connect/fuel cap connector situation. Pretty cool! Where does one get this setup?
Yes, I would like to know as well. Looks like a slick setup!
Great video. Good to see the trauma gear also.
I make cool viking knives from forging those old chains into billets. Great video. im always working on my chainsaws to keep them sharp..
11:35 When you put your chains in that bag after you finished sharpening them might I suggest you keep them in a plastic container that way you can put some oil in there and it keeps them from rusting and nice and oiled up ready for use
Indeed, and great comment!
Wow, nice dalahäst.
A tip I picked up along the way was keep a hotel card key in your field cleaning kit to hit the bar if you don’t have an air compressor on your truck.
Great info in this video! I do have a question though. I can't seem to find an oil and gas combo can available in the US, does anyone know where they are available? That has to be one of the single most useful pieces of kit when running a saw.
Nice stihls
Good video, I probably would have greased the clutch bearing and checked for clutch spring wear as well.
Really needed to hear that man cave tangent. Thanks Mr. Star. I feel less underappreciated after this video. Act Accordingly.
Got to love that ”Mora häst”!
Good title!
I like the Husqvarna taker gauge because it gives you two options and it puts them at an angle.
Great speech spoken @8:55.👍
Need to get some Stihl high lift wedges, also clean it and grease the roller bearing under the sprocket cover.
Great stuff, can you do a video on your tool chest? I have plenty of tools I just need to get organized😩
Stihl 462. Best 70-80 CC saw on the market. I'm a Husqvarna guy, but if I could only have 1 saw it'd be this one.
All the comments "Hooray old Wranglerstar is back" miss the point. He's not talking about important bigger issues now because it's over for our country, too many economic, political and moral lines have been trampled and our politicians have gone far too far over them. It's not good that Wranglerstar has returned to talking about chainsaws in these times. It's another sign that it's over.
