the tune bot works a lot better and has more accurate readings if you rotate the drum and face the mic towards the lug you're hitting. works amazing, just a little more time consuming.

Thanks for that quick explanation! Didn’t know what the “target” function was for until now makes a lot more sense lol

Do you tune bottom head first and then tune top head of drum?

That’s a new head ? What about tuning to a note? Like a perfect fifth a part ?

To use a Tunebot ,you going to need a Tunebot and a drum. Thanks for the heads up...

You forgot to mention how important it is to tune the reso head in relation to the batter head, very important.

Does it matter how hard you hit the head when using a Tune Bot? If so, how hard?

Works best if you use a mallet… tap it, not super hard… like the way you would if you were playing a ghost note.

I learned that you hit hard enough until the light flashes. Thanks for more info.@@BeatsAndMeats

it would have been better if your drum was "out "out of tune at first. Still good though, subscribed

Put a moon gel in the center or use your finger to lightly press on it. Those overtones will go away. The more it’s tilted off the drum works better for me

Good point on the towel to mute the resonant head but you forgot to tune it as well. Best to use the Tune-Bot app for iPhone or Android to set to proper pitch based on Tom size. Plus you didn’t need to press the triangle button that was for a different typing approach. The hair won’t work for a job interview btw.

The hair will work for a job interview just depends on what job. Shows individuality, creativity, self actualisation, and confidence in self expression, which can be very valuable for some jobs
