This video is not a tutorial on the false shuffle. Rather, it’s a case study where I examine the theory and practice of this technique.

Casino wash part was incredible and I genuinely believed it was impossible when you said it was only to be shocked that you put the deck back in order. Amazing.
:)
He didn’t put the deck in order with the wash, he just put the aces on top.
@@louislaz Yeah. But even that was impressive.
I had the casino wash at the back of my head, and you blew my mind when you rigged it lmao
Huhhhhhhh
:)
Nah….. casino wash is definitely decent. We were seeing that is bc of his super power.
I learned so much yet I learned nothing at the same time 😂
**evil laugh**
I called that phase of my life "college."
Glad to see another full video. Hope you've been keeping busy with your NYC show.
Thanks! and yea, been busy with that and other projects
I can only imagine how many thousands of shuffles you have done to make that look so smooth. Wow. And that’s why I like magic…not because I can’t figure out how it’s done (although I get tricked plenty), but because I know just how much work has to go into making it look so impossible. FYI, when you show us how you do it…it doesn’t spoil anything and actually makes it even better because there’s still no way I can possibly duplicate a skill like that. We’ll done sir
The best magic, to me, is when I know how it's done but I'm still amazed and even fooled by it.
It was heartwarming to see you posting again! Hope your show is going strong. Awesome stuff as usual 👏
I attended that show, highly recommend it. Wonderful evening, excellent magic.
thank you!!
Great to see another full video on shuffling cards.
yea, I've never ever made one before!! :P
So excited for a new video!! Always love your content!
absolutely ecstatic when i saw this in my notifications! really happy to see your content again, you unlocked a love for cardistry, magic and cheats in my brain lol
don't forget about us overseas fans that aren't able to visit your shows! one day, though, i hope i can visit, i bet it's an incredible experience :- )
Extremely soothing watching this level of proficiency at card handling!
Great to see you back! Hope you've been super busy doing shows.
Listening on your explanations always amazes me. Keep up the great work!
I know how to do a lot of these but I’m not very good at doing them but seeing someone do them so beautiful and so well is something truly amazing. Great video
thanks!
Always love to see you post a video! Always so good and your presentation is always on point, love watching your videos thank you for always being classy
thank you!
Yusss the GOATS back please make more videos 🔥🔥🔥
hopefully more soon!
So impressive! The last one was ridiculous! 🤯
Thanks for a great show in Washington DC tonight resulting in a well-deserved standing ovation!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the performance
You always manage to blow my mind
These controlled shuffle videos never get old
AWESOME TECHNIQUE ROY!!
thanks!
Amaizing mechanic! Great job!
This one is crazy. I'd kill to know how the casino wash works. The rest you can kinda figure out but casino wash is crazy.
It's definitely the first time I have seen that. The wash has to be a subtle deck swap, video editing, or a statistic game. Maybe, some other way? Gotta love it! ❤️
glad you liked it!
no editing or deck switch...its all technique :)
Daniel, are you going to teach those riffle shuffle and casino wash techniques at some point in your Patreon course?
The riffle shuffle stuff, yes! The casino wash doesn't really fit with the theme of the course since its too niche.
I have never seen such an incredible thing in my whole life😮!!
You're why I will never play poker with anyone I don't know...very well. Your skills are scary good. Not you (I hope), but guys like you, surely make a living dealing games like this. It's unreal to see how totally invisible your shuffle tricks are. Bravo on how hard you must have worked to get this good.
Always love the trick at the end :)
thanks!
Now this was so entertaining
Wow, smooth! Bravo
more tutorials pleaseeee i love ur tutorials
When you got to the part about "Every shuffle technique can be faked," I thought to myself, "Even a casino wash?" Paused, then thought about another card mechanic I've seen who could take a deck from a casino wash and put it back into new deck order in short order.
Only to have you do pretty much the same thing ten seconds later (okay, you "only" took the four Aces).
Very impressive work!
Outstanding!
Seeeshhhhh crazy man thanks ❤️
That was awesome! I particularly like that it's a "How to" without actually showing me how, haha.
Impossible to track while using casino wash. Wow. You're amazing! I knew it you can control those cards.
Can you explain the very basics of controlling a casino wash?
Mind has been blown sir🙏
You are amazing!
Love the tutorial
Controlling cards with an overhand shuffle is easy to learn. Similarly a riffle shuffle where you keep cards on top, and/or with false cuts is pretty easy, but the false riffle shuffles which keep the whole deck in order are insanely difficult, at least to make them as innocent looking as the video.
the casino wash bit was genuinely upsetting. great work!
YOUR BACK!!!!!!!!!!!🎉
What about his back
@@akselisilto5568 he hasn’t posted a video in along time
*you’re 🤷🏻♂️
👀 I loved how sarcastic that bit about the casino wash was hahahaa
Super sick!
Woah, the casino wash false shuffle blew my mind
wow such a smooth shuffling, looks like in an Anime YuGiOh hahaha
who needs the The Heart of the Cards if you just completely rig your shuffling. fascinating video
If there's 3 cards and you deal the one below the top, is it a second deal or a center deal?
Can you talk about practicing with a worn deck vs a new one? I feel like I got better passes with the worn one and things like second deal went a lot smoother on a new one. Any tips on these practicing decks?
tks for the content
You are a wizard Harry
That magic show sounds like a ton of fun.
Awesome !
Can you solve randomly messy packs like a rubrics cube and get them in order without looking at them? I don't know about the editing but it seems like you have mastered the cards and could do it.
Wish I could be in NYC right now...
How is the case called that holds the 6 sealed Bee Decks i would love this in my desk setup
If there was ever a card magician that could do a card trick in front of Teller in person, I think you would be the one. I know Richard Turner technically already did it, but I really think you should straight up give it a try. Even if you can't make it work, it'd still be a trick that might generate buzz for you. Please consider giving it a try someday.
How was the wash fixed without even looking- this is so cool 😭👏
Thanks for the video Daniel, it' was awesome as always! I've been looking for a book that teaches the full deck control riffle shuffle and casino wash methods, which books/resources are these available in?
Take a look at Steve Forte's GSOH
@@DanielRoyMagic Thanks! I would also echo another commenter, it would be great to hear if/when you take the show international, I would love to see it live!
What's truly impossible is to take the deck after spreading face up in new deck order and then casino wash and deal those 4 aces 😊
actually, I can do that! :) will have to film that for instagram soon
@Daniel Roy I'd love to see it and don't doubt ya one bit now that you've said u can.. I've been doing card magic for 20+ years and I'm pretty good... but ur card/deck control is incredible and undoubtedly up there wit some of the absolute greats... still young too, wow 👌
would love to see your Videos without background music.
Your Voice ist so relaxing and i love the sounds of the cards 😁
Drinking Game.... Drink every time he says Shuffle!!
LOL...that would not end well
even knowing that you’re doing them i just have no idea how, I think maybe one way to visualize it would be to have cards with a full rainbow on the edge, so you can just look at the color gradient on the side to see how the cards are moving perhaps.
And with that my gambling addiction is cured, even if it's the only game in town
Something I'm curious about is whether it's possible to fake shuffle if the only shuffle used is the casino wash. When I saw the extra riffles and cuts, I thought that maybe something there helped rig the shuffle if say, one card there was marked or something (I'm not saying you did that, just a possibility if done in a real scenario). So dealers would see the marked cards and shuffle them into where they have to be.
So what if the shuffle was the casino wash shuffle alone? Say, you do a wash, stack it up, cut in 2, and repeat once more then deal, would the shuffle still be possible to fake?
yes, I can beat the casino wash alone, or the casino wash + other shuffles. But your intuition is correct. Sometimes, those other shuffles make it easier, other times they make it more difficult.
@@DanielRoyMagic I guess that just means that every shuffle can be faked in the hands of a great magician, then. I'd much rather be the one shuffling the cards then, hahaha.
Wow i never thought of the overhand shuffle.
P.S. how do you do the trick where you change every card colour?
check out my video "10 levels of sleight of hand: color changes"
Ever been to the Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA?
Yup! I performed in their close up gallery in 2019. The video is on my channel. :)
About 'A'card falls shuffles?
My boy, you are a menace to casino's worldwide
It's crystal clear you have studied Steve Forte's moves A LOT.
yup! and Ortiz, Turner, etc.
yay!!!
Are u ever gone be back
I would say this gentleman is as good a card mechanic as Lennart Green
God bless everyone and have a good day!,.
請問這個教學在哪個章節呢?
good thing the last one is impossible to fake
You tease!! You stopped telling us how to do any of them after the overhand!! xD
oops...
man o man a 32min video by Dan Roy awesome. am I the only one that watches these at x.25 speed?
thanks for the extra watch time
4:37 wasn’t a cut
Where did you get your really big close up pad
patt's mats
Can you do a casino wash and arrange them from red to black again or is that kind of impossible?
Doable, but it wouldn't necessarily look as good as just controlling 4 cards
@@DanielRoyMagic wow
In fact the casino wash can be almost faked, Sal Piacente explains it in his DVD.
I feel like you have the skills to develop a method to control an entire deck through a casino wash.
Wasn't even watching cards content but I still got here wtf, anyway my mind is blown, still didn't understand how it all works 😂
you should go to the casino
If grian and Harry Potter had a child, this is the result, btw awesome shuffeling, i really needed this
I find it funny that shuffling cards works in reverse for who you want dealing. You want the dumbest person in the room to shuffle the deck so you know there's no cheating happening.
Blown away by the skill. I wonder if there is an underground subculture where there is an "arms race" of sorts between those who use such skills to make money and those use protect legitimate games. Everyone would probably have a favorite side. The example that took the world by storm a decade ago was Phil Ivy vs Borgata... which I still have conflicting feelings over.
7:30 Okay now you're just showing off
Oh! The wizard has returned
〜(꒪꒳꒪)〜
What part of this video is the "how to" part? Show and tell to me.
😮👑
Any time you do a shuffle that only controls a few cards, it's a controlled shuffle, not a false shuffle. A true false shuffle doesn't change the deck at all.
next level of false shuffle: shred the entire deck and then rearrange it back in full order.
Guys i figured it out the video is backwards
But you just pulled 4 Aces from that unbeatable casino wash???
I realy like your vids but you shouldnt call it "how to......" Cause that implys a tutorial.
Did you even watch the video?
@@mugiirakamundi5172 of corse
3:07 nice fake cuts too :P
This isn’t a tutorial so much as an explanation. Any chance you would be willing to break it down a little?
Imagine doing this in magic the gathering
working on that video...
Just showed off
