I am considering changing my rod holders to the Scotty Rocket Launchers that you have on your boat. Do your rods have gimbal butts so they don't spin in the holder? If so, do you feel I will need rods with gimbal butts if I switch to the rocket launcher holders?
Hi Bob, the Okuma trolling rods I use have the gimbal butts that fit into the notches inside the rocket launcher tubes but rods without work just as well.
We get them from Amazon. If memory serves that is a regular Scotty rod holder with a gear Head adapter. Just search for Scotty Gear Head adapter on Amazon and you should find what you need. If not give us a holler.
I troll the jointed storm thunderstick this time of year , Think big catch bigger !! It’s 11” Muskie lure and I pound the big eyes . Don’t sell yourself short . Eyes eat big baits !!!
Another great show! I'm really enjoying the summer videos. Is PJ ever going to drag you guys out the the Winnebago System for a jigging and casting bite for walleye?!
We were just talking about that bite at the end of the day yesterday. PJ says August is his favorite month out there on Bago for the jigging bite! Thanks for watching.

@@InDepthOutdoorsTV thank you for your help.
Great tips, great video. Appreciate both that you are not afraid to harvest on camera, and that you also harvest responsibly.
Thinking of adding rail mount rocket launchers to my setup do you have any problem with them spinning on the rail with the pull of inline boards.
No problems at all. The bases clamp down tight. I've not had any issues with spinning when pulling boards.
@@InDepthOutdoorsTV Ok thanks I feel more confident running them now my other Scottys are on Lund sport tracks.
How do you like them vs the cradles that you were running last year? I like the way you can get the rod tips higher.

Excellent video again, looks like it’s forest fire smoky there.....
Brent Bakke you can thank the Canada wild fires!
What Crankbaits were you using ?
Rapala Shad Dancer size 4
I went on Saginaw bay and caught a lot caught a catfish and sheepshead
At some point, with enough gadgets and rods, it looks more like harvesting than fishing.
The fish still make us look inept more often than we care to admit.
@@InDepthOutdoorsTV I hear ya, there! Sorry, didn't mean to sound snarky. Used to be a Great Lakes rigger guy myself. Thanks for the video!
@@jimbrew3058 we didn't take it snarky at all. We catch ourselves over-complicating things with gear all the time. 😁
O gtfo, so sick of people acting like if yer not in a 16ft tin tiller with bench seats yer not real fishing.
@@adventurefishing3190 all fishing is real fishing in our book. 😁
What type of line and pound do you guys use for trolling
We were using sufix siege mono in 10 lb.

@@InDepthOutdoorsTV Great to hear, would love to see that one!
what speed are you guys trolling at ?
2.2 mph
I love walleye fishing
Would be sweet if you made a Lindy rigging episode!
Our plan is to put out a rigging vid here shortly. 😁
Southern bay, west shore?
I think you have divers down there putting fish on your line.
Good Lord, you two paranoid? Cant tell if you’re fishing or stealing gas from a 7-11.
It was diesel.
I love trolling with planer boards this time of year! Great info on how to find the right depth.
I love the bay started fishing it about 6 years ago and been hooked ever since! Please keep the videos coming!!
Lots more on the way. Thanks for watching!
