In this live stream, I explore conceptual and practical approaches to improvisation within a drum solo concept. This includes the acquisition of improvisational vocabulary, and the act of applying it.
In this workshop, I will explore the use of accents within a single stroke roll, their decoration, application, and interpretation. This allows for a musical and adaptive drumming vocabulary with direct applications for solo playing.
