For the original phrase, I played it ;L rrL RK ;K
In this live stream, I explore conceptual and practical approaches to drum solo playing. I talk about the concepts of time, phrasing, vocabulary, and rhythmic figures, with a view to informing soloing, specifically within a jazz context.
This material is under development for a book I'm writing on the subject, so this is a great place to test my ideas.
    I proudly endorse Bosphorus Cymbals.

Not quite, though it could be argued that it’s paradiddle based. The main motif, without rests, is LRRLRK, so it’s diddle-based rather than being ‘a paradiddle’. Good spot.
