I’m having low power, shuttering and acceleration is low. I’m praying that it’s my fuel filter. I haven’t changed it in about a year. Do you think that the problem?
hi my body I just did not get what you used to put the first filter in???is that just diesel???where do I get the red plug???does it comes with the filter???
@xDismantal Make sure the Black Primary Filter is full with diesel fuel when you mount it on. After the vehicle has started up. I normally place my foot on the pedal and run it around 1200 -1400 rpm for about 5 second. The reason for that is, if there is any air in the system. It will bleed itself out.
Why is that when changing the secondary fuel filter sometimes the fuel will not go down.. I open the top side ro drain reservoir but I goes back up anyways..s:. Does it happen to you as well?
@richardbutler3370 Good question, I try to stay away from advice on when to spend money. I will say that a certain amount of metal can shorten the life of the Injectors. Get with your local Dealer or Shop on your next step. Thank you
I completely understand! When I was there today, he mentioned he would monitor it and check the fuel and water separator at the next service for any additional metal shavings! I guess I was wondering will the thing just fail and leave me on the side of the road lol 😆
Hello, thank you for the information I’ve been following your channel I love it I learned a lot from you so I have a 2010 Hino 268 does it have a fuel filter? Thank you again.
I checked all over by the deep stick all around on the side, nothing from top and bottom can’t find it 😢 Please let me know if you do. You’re awesome bro, Thank you so much again 🙏👍🙌
@omarsoroush919 It has been a long while since I changed one on a 2010. If I remember correctly. It maybe underneath on the driver side Chassis behind the Front Cab.
Hi my friend again how are you????my truck has the burner maintenance light on,do you have a video hoy to do that maintenance to the DEF system??I watched your video about changing the DEF filter but I read on google and I saw some pictures about cleaning some ignitors, removing the flame temp sensor and burner nozzle and all that kind of stuff.Do you have a video about all that so that I can do it myself and remove that burner maintenance light from my screen????
@juliorives6107 Good morning my friend. That is a Hino video that I do not have. You are not the first one to ask me about that one. Luckily Hino maintenance light are just a reminder.
@@dairleautoclassicrestorati6892 ohhh ok my friend thank you very much for your time to answer me,you are a good man,God bless you and your family always🙏🙏👍👍
@xsirdirtyx0444 You are not the first to ask that question. I have not ran across that issue. I would place a drain pan underneath. Take off the cover and let diesel pour out
@@dairleautoclassicrestorati6892 Do we need to reset in order to get the light to go off. we replaced both filters and the light came back on.....the water in fuel light
@i.am.Ap7 when you have replaced the filters and completely drained and cleaned out trash and the light is still on. I would look at the Sensor. Unplug it for 10sec and plug it back. If light is still on. Look at replacing the Sensor at the Fuel Filter Housing.
DUDE, I HAVE HINOS 268 AND I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW EXACTLY HOW MANY MILES SHOULD I CHANGE MY ENGINE OIL, DIESEL OIL, AIR FILTER AND TRANSMISSION FILTER AND OIL.
This is base on if your vehicle do alot of idling. 1. Conventional Oil 5000 miles 2. Synthetic Oil 8,500 miles 3. Transmission Service 50,000 or once a year. 4. Air Filter every 12 months. There is a Video on all of these Service for Hino Trucks on my Channel.
You are the best. This saved me the headache of some truck stop mechanics who Don't know the other fuel filter needs replacing too.
Thank you Sir for the helpful video I just bought a 2011 Hino 268A trying to learn about everything for this truck and I found the channel 🙏🏻❤

@juliorives6107 That's correct it just diesel. I don't remember if that Filter comes with a plug or I just happen to have one in my tool box.

Make sure that you are opening the drain knob on the bottom.
Small metal shaving in fuel and water separator! What do you think?
@richardbutler3370 Sounds like your Fuel Pump. Just make sure you are using clean diesel fuel. And continue to keep your filters changed.

When I turned the yellow knob it didn't drain any fuel as if it is clogged or something. Any suggestions? Thanks for all that you do
It seem to be clogged. You can open it wide open. And use some type of vacuum. Such as a light duty shop vac.
Gracias amigo! Make a lots of sense!!
Thank you, great vid
Thank you
How do you bleed system
Where do you get the filter wrench for the fuel seperator?

Could you provide the size of the wrench and where to get it
It's "Diesel Filter Wrench 5in" Part#61090. Give that part# to your local parts store and they will provide you one.
How many miles do i go before changing that second filter you did?
The Engine Fuel Filter: 240,000miles (400,000km)
The Chassis Fuel Filter: 20,000 or keep an eye on the change level line.

What size is the main fuel filter wrench?
Diesel Filter Wrench is 5in. The Part#61090. Give that # to your local Auto Parts Store to purchase.

Not a public shop. But I thank you for asking.
How much diesel did you put in?
Thanks
