    Nice video, some good ol' stripeys there!
    Agree with what someone below said about the music though, its a bit loud and intrusive at times.

      +Clive Bindley thanks Clive. I agree with the feedback on the sounding levels, I’m still learning this editing lark :). Hope you are catching if you have been fishing recently.

    Nice vid nice perch and bonus carp. I do quite a bit of carp fishing but mainly one rod doing a bit different from the rest , flicking out worms etc. Went all out perch fishing other day with prawns and worms. Ended up with pb 3.5lb perch and 3 2lbplus perch and bonus big roach. I used a 6ft light spin rod great fun.

      +Barry Fisherman wow what a session that is! I would of liked a Perch that big to have shown up in this vid! It’s great fun isn’t it , simple gear and bait . Plus you never really know what will show up in these commercial fisheries! Would love to see a photo of the Perch if you have one. Be sure to join our Facebook group and post the photo :) . Thanks for watching and commenting too.

    Great video in Australia we call them Redfin we use soft plastics and hardbodys but using worms under a float is my favourite way to catch them

    Good video,But why do feel the need to have music (annoying ) in the back-ground?

    • @OnTheBankAngling
      @OnTheBankAngling  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MIKE BLAKE thanks Mike for the feedback. Will try tone it down in future videos. This video though as my action camera has very poor quality sound. I didn't want it to be boring with no noise at all. I understand the music is not to everyone's taste though. Thanks again for watching and commenting!

    You should come out to Australia some time and fish for perch. The Golden Perch get about 4 times the weight of those. The Barramundi is technically a perch and gets to over 4 feet and 35kg in size.

    Great video , I’m now getting into perch fishing and this was really helpful. What hook size were you using ?

    • @OnTheBankAngling
      @OnTheBankAngling  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      For worms I’d use a 12-8 for perch. They aren’t particularly shy so you want to make sure they stay on when you hook them. They don’t like much resistance though in my experience. Good luck with your perching, hope you get a whacker!

    I like the video, nice well done. Personally, I prefer river fish that have not lost any of the colour as carp pit fish do.

    If you are trying to chop worms into even pieces I chop them in a small can of sweetcorn but if you fish a pole I've seen people use the pole cup to chop worms

    does sweetcorn work?

    • @gwoodster18
      @gwoodster18 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No , perch are predators , only dead fish / live baits work

    • @thediligentdungbeetle8116
      @thediligentdungbeetle8116 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I caught my first perch and my only fish on sweetcorn but I think it was probably an exception but if your wondering I used a size 18 hook and threaded the hook through the soft end of the corn and jigged it up and down and it worked

    Why on earth don't you focus on your float so that viewers can see the bites developing?

    I'm not sure that I 'get' this type of fishing? No need to cast or use much skill. Dropping a line in the water straight in front of you, in a load of ground bait? I guess it could be ok for an hour or so. But it looks like couch spud fishing. Is it for people who have really active lives, so they can sit and chill? May as well put a load of fish in your bath and sit on the loo fishing.....I've caught Perch on a fly hook and am thinking of doing some wild Perch float fishing. But, I think I will be doing some casting and moving around.....or may as well feed the ducks

      Ah if only it was as easy as you make it sound. Get out in the winter and try it, see how easy you think it is then.
      (Yes I know 4 years after you posted your silly comment but hey ho)
