So, for all those confused by the end animation of 5th chapter, here is the explanation. Everything in the animation happened, it's just that the events shown are not linear. Hundreds of years back, before the journey to the West, Wokong and the Bull became sworn brothers, and together they rebelled against heaven, which is the mid part of the animation where the Bull and Wukong fought side by side against the celestial army. That rebellion was also the first time Wukong fought Erlong (the three-eyes dude from the beginning of the game). They lost that fight and Wukong was captured and eventually imprisoned under the five-finger mountain for 500 years. Then the journey to the West took place, during that journey, Wukong and his gang ran into the Bull again. Wukong and his gang were blocked by this fire mountain and needed to borrow the Plantain Fan from the Bull's wife to quell the flame, but lots of shit happened and they made the Bull into an enemy (Bajie even killed his mistress). The Bull was so powerful that Wukong had to call for help from the celestial court to subdue him (he was defeated not killed), this was shown at the part when Wukong and Bajie were talking down to the Bull. Then the journey to the West concluded, and time forward to the beginning of this game. Wukong fought against Heaven again, this time, the Bull and the four bosses from previous chapters joined Heaven's force to defeat Wukong. Hence 5 of Wukong's 6 senses were given to them as rewards, this is the part at the beginning of the anime. When the Bull held Wukong in his arms, he started to reminisce the past. They didn't show Wukong fought the 5 of them in the intro, I guess more combat went on after Erlong thrust Wukong into the mountain. After that event, at some point, the Bull's son finds out about his own lineage and wants to take Wukong's "body sense" so he can become strong enough to avenge his people (rebel against Heaven like his dad and Wukong did). But fear for his son, he refused, thus the father and son are at odds now.
@@t1tan748 In the original JTTW, the Bull Demon King is not a very positive character. He did become sworn brothers with Sun Wukong, but 500 years later blocked Wukong on his way to seek scriptures (mainly because his son was handed over to Guanyin Bodhisattva by Wukong and his mistress slandered Sun Wukong), the Bull Demon King was so powerful that almost all the gods participated in the battle and finally conquered him. All other plots are game original. In the original JTTW, Wukong never thought about protecting those former monster sworn brothers (if they dared to stand in his way to the west) as this anime shows, because he has never forgotten his guarding mission since the beginning of the journey. What's more, in the later stages of the story, he has completely regarded scriptures seeking as his own career , rather than treating himself as a follower.
The fox's story is similar to the POV of Celestial Court about Wukong: They look at the nature of yaoguais and think someday it'll turnaround and bite them, and decided to take action firsthand.
the bad dream never happend, its the excuse of the guy, just like "national security" of USA to ban tiktok (BYD, HUAWEI,), its abt interest and feat the things they cant controll.
There is no denying that they have learned from many previous games, but I see that the game team has really put their heart into their product when they have created such animated cutscenes. From graphics, gameplay to animated cutscenes, all are the result of 4 years of development.
I know the animation of each is unique and top-notch, but shouldn't we give props to the music? Each and every part of the music fits perfectly, creating such an emotional backstory to each chapter.
Many people say they can't understand the relationship between Bajie and the spider spirit: to elaborate, Bajie admired the Moon Goddess (not Chang'e), and he accidentally ran into one of her maidservants on his journey, who was Chang'e (Chang'e is a title, and all maidservants of the Moon Goddess are called Chang'e). The Jade Emperor and the Moon Goddess were having a private meeting when Tianpeng (Bajie) saw them, and he was banished to the mortal world. This Chang'e, who couldn't forget Tianpeng, descended to the mortal world and became the spider spirit. When Bajie, who was banished to Gao Village, saw Gao Cuilan, he mistook her for Chang'e and chased after her. However, Gao Cuilan was terrified when she saw Bajie's true form. As Bajie journeyed westward, he reached the Spider Cave, where the reincarnated Purple Spider immediately recognized her beloved "pig head." The two fell in love, and Bajie released the Purple Spider during this ordeal. The Purple Spider had Bajie's daughter and waited for him until she grew old. Because of that mistaken identity, the Purple Spider said before she died, "You are still as foolish as before" (referring to the mistaken identity), also implying that Bajie didn't dare to acknowledge them for fear of heavenly retribution. Even someone as strong as Brother Monkey was killed by the heavens. The Bull Demon King, a powerful warlord, had his family broken and scattered just because he got involved with the person of destiny. How could a small Spider Cave resist the heavens? Bajie didn't have the skills of his senior brother, nor the influence of the Bull Demon King. If he didn't turn back, he couldn't love her; if he did, he would harm her. Therefore, Bajie didn't acknowledge her and couldn't acknowledge her. Bajie was determined to help the person of destiny. Even if he failed, he would only lose his own life and wouldn't involve his loved ones again. The greatest love he could give her was to let go.
I dont understand that one very well. When the master takes away everyone's kasaya, and then... I guess I mixed up from that part. Who gave the monk the kasaya back at the end? Can you tell me what happened👏
In the original work of “Journey to the West”, after Sun Wukong discovered that the cassock was stolen by the black bear spirit, he fought with it many times but found it difficult to win. So he went to ask Guanyin Bodhisattva for help. Guanyin Bodhisattva transformed into the appearance of Lingxuzi. Sun Wukong then transformed into a magic pill and let the black bear spirit eat it. After the black bear spirit ate the “magic pill”, it was in unbearable abdominal pain. Eventually, it was subdued by Guanyin Bodhisattva. Guanyin Bodhisattva put a restraining hoop on the black bear spirit and took it back to Luojia Mountain and made it the guardian god of the mountain.@@geniamarvelian5845

I love watching Tây Du Ký when I was a kid. The story is to be deep and very meaningful. I have to say “The Journey to the West” is all about my childhood. I love China’s Culture. From Vietnam with love. Peace.
The story showed after chapter 4 is so moving; the lady went after pigsy for love and became a spider? What a love. Can’t they have a happy ending of the love?😢
@@HendrikZ-z4s to elaborate, Heavenly court doomed the piggy for 1000th life cycle of love curse, where everytime he fall in love the one he love will get hurt. So at the end eventhou he recognize the spidy, he wouldnt dare to be with her..
Now i want more animation about Chinese Buddhism and Taoism. I feel like the knowledge and wisdom they give is relayed through powerful storytelling. Is that universal human experience that even when i'm from another culture and speak another language i can understand.
In Vietnam, the 1986 version of the “Journey to the West” film has been re-aired more than 3000 times from 1988 until 2010. As a result, “Journey to the West” remains a childhood memory for millions of Vietnamese people up to now. Enjoying the game “Black Myth Wukong” with such outstanding quality is truly fantastic! I really appreciate how the game conveys the sequel content of “Journey to the West” through cutting-edge role-playing game graphics! 🌟
This is probably the aspect of the game that caught me most off guard. This were so extremely well done! really enjoyed the different animation styles. I think the stop motion one was one of my favorites.
Here’s the English translation of the annotations I provided: ### 1. **The Relationship Between Tianpeng Marshal and Taiyin Xingjun** - **Background**: In Chinese mythology, Tianpeng Marshal (the celestial identity of Zhu Bajie) is a general of the Heavenly Court, while Taiyin Xingjun is the goddess in charge of the moon. Tianpeng was banished to the mortal realm after witnessing a secret meeting between Taiyin Xingjun and the Jade Emperor. This story is not fully detailed in the original "Journey to the West," but in the game "Black Myth: Wukong," the relationship between Tianpeng and Taiyin Xingjun is given a more complex and dramatic interpretation. This story involves emotional entanglements among the gods and the strict hierarchy and taboos of the Heavenly Court, reflecting the fate of a hero lost within the mythological system. ### 2. **Chang’e's Identity** - **Annotation**: In Chinese mythology, Chang’e is typically considered an individual, the Moon Goddess. However, in this context, Chang’e is used as a title representing all the maids serving Taiyin Xingjun. This might be confusing for Western readers. This setting hints at the multiplicity of roles within the mythological world and the blurred lines between names and identities. ### 3. **Bajie’s Love and Tragedy** - **Annotation**: Bajie’s mistake in recognizing Gao Cuilan as Chang’e is a classic tragic misunderstanding. This plot reflects Bajie’s deep-seated attachment to the past and his longing for love, though these emotions ultimately lead to the tragedy between him and the Purple Spider. Western readers might need to understand that this "misrecognition" is rooted in the concept of fate, indicating the helplessness and struggle of a person when confronted with the forces of destiny. ### 4. **The Spider’s Lair and the Purple Spider** - **Background**: The Spider’s Lair is a famous den of monsters in "Journey to the West," and the Purple Spider is one of these monsters. This story emphasizes the entanglement between her and Bajie across lifetimes. The reincarnation of the Purple Spider symbolizes the concept of karma and reincarnation, a significant theme in Eastern culture. This theme of reincarnation and fate might be less familiar in Western culture, requiring further explanation. ### 5. **The Power and Ruthlessness of the Heavenly Court** - **Annotation**: The Heavenly Court mentioned in the story is the highest authority in Chinese mythology, similar to Mount Olympus in Greek mythology but more strict and ruthless. The interference and punishment from the Heavenly Court demonstrate the inescapability of fate, where any rebellion or deviation can lead to devastating consequences. This fear of the Heavenly Court is why Bajie cannot acknowledge the Purple Spider, even if he wants to. If he does, she would face punishment from the Heavenly Court. This plot reflects the sense of powerlessness in the face of overwhelming external forces when it comes to personal emotions and happiness. ### 6. **The Love of Letting Go** - **Explanation**: In the story between Bajie and the Purple Spider, Bajie chooses to let go to protect her, which is a painful but selfless form of love. Western readers might interpret this as a "sacrificial" love, a concept that resonates in both Eastern and Western cultures. This love does not stem from weakness but from a deep desire to protect the loved one, preferring to endure pain rather than see the other suffer. These annotations help Western readers better understand the complex emotional bonds between Bajie and the Purple Spider, as well as the deeper cultural and philosophical significance embedded in this story.

From minute 10 to 10:52 is excellent. From the graphics, music to the story behind this scene, it is both scary and epic. Jinchanji (in Tripitaka's previous life, he was Wukong's master) and his Brother the Turtle in the video made a bet with each other: Is human greed limitless? And as we have seen, there is no limit at all. When people are given something, they just want more and more. The senior brother said: "I won." But Jinchanji only said: "Isn't it sad that you only care about winning or losing like that?" Is it because people are greedy, or is it because "gods" have given them too much to arouse that greed? Is greed due to nature, or is it formed by external influences?
Kind of like harassing sharks and getting yourself eaten just to prove that they're as bloodthirsty as the movies make them out to be. The turtle dude created an artificial situation just to win an argument out of bias rather than approach the question scientifically.
I mean yeah from the moment the turtle is introduced to us we just see him giving people whatever they want but doesn't bother teaching them about humility or how to survive by learning how to fish, how to treat wounds and illness, how to turn things around. As you can see the village was very poor before the turtle came and they didn't even have temples. He took advantage of their living conditions and their ignorance so at the end all that was left was greed. I assume they never prospered as a village so all that wealth got over their heads
man i didn't expect it to be this deep. Back in the day when i still a child and watched "Journey to the West"(1986) , it was kinda fun but they did not included all the details outside the journey.
It's pretty sad the fox, ended up dead due to a dream of fear. What really sucks is the fox, was hurt and scared to let the man help it, only for it to die.
What’s interesting is that the game’s imagination of Sun Wukong’s ending reflects the theme of another famous Chinese novel, “Water Margin”: as an outsider, trusting the ruling class will never have a good result. You can only either become them, kneel down to them, or overthrow them completely.
I really appreciate how Game Science really went all out for this game! Like, I was NOT expecting them to hire Several Different Expert Animators to make these Fantastic Donghua Shorts (with each having a completely different artstyle no less) that not only perfectly end off each Chapter, but in the case of the 1st, 4th & 5th Shorts, really show off the tragedy behind their respective Chapter's Story. But MAN, do I appreciate it...
funfact: most of Vietnamese who can access to the television watched "Journey to the West" at least once. The film has broadcasted again and again (many times every year and since many years ago). This game and it's cartoon animation has many deep layers of meaning about life and if you watched "Journey to the West" and have a bit understanding about Buddhism, it would push you to an extremely level of feeling about the games and all of stories from it.

The pig was originally a god in the sky, because he accidentally saw the leader having an affair with someone he admired. The leader was afraid that things would be discovered, turning him into a pig and depriving him of the throne.
I heard a different version of the story, that pig is indeed a deity but dared to have intentions towards the Goddess Hằng Nga. Hằng Nga's husband is Hậu Nghệ, a deity who shot down 8 out of 9 suns. Hậu Nghệ turned him into a pig.
Most touchable anime I think it’s the Chapter 5, especially the lyrics of the song “Don’t laugh at me.” A father who have to carry the unbearable weight was just so touching.
In China, there is a word "male plowing and female weaving", meaning that men work in agriculture and women weave, describing that men and women in the countryside each have their own responsibilities, and work together in harmony. bajie holding a nail harrow, spiders spitting silk and weaving cloth, this kind of happy days is unique to the romance of the Chinese people.

Akan timbul sesorang yang bijak(a wise man) yg menuntun sesamanya menuju perdamaian. Dimasa depan makin banyak manusia yang teredukasi.
Chapter 5: In the first paragraph, Bull and Wukong were born in the underworld and fought against the heavenly soldiers together. In the second paragraph, he crossed the Flame Mountain and was subdued by Wukong and the heavenly soldiers. Although Bull had 72 changes, he was beheaded and tortured several times and surrendered. In the third paragraph, Yang Jian and the heavenly soldiers asked other demon kings to fight against Wukong. The old Bull rebelled against the water, and the Wukong was dismembered. When Wukong said, no matter how you defected to the heavenly court, there would be no good result. As a powerful character, the Bull Demon King went through numerous trials and betrayals, ultimately realizing that no matter how he aligned himself with the Heavenly Court, he could not escape his destined fate. Yang jian's plan to dismember Wukong seemed like a punishment on the surface, but it was actually a trap set for these great demons, leading them to fight and destroy each other. After experiencing all of this, the Bull came to the profound understanding that power and influence cannot change the decrees of fate. Therefore, he warned his descendants not to get involved in such dangerous conflicts.
You can tell that they put love into this game, just like you can tell that the Dustborn devs only put spite and hate into their game (And i'm not even joking, they basically said so themselves)
These animations alone are just stellar. Then there is the rest of the game which was also insanely good. As an overseas rabbit, I am grateful to be living in these times and see the rejuvenation of the Chinese civilization😍🥰
China should be so proud of these developers , im expecting they inspired many other Chinese devs to make AAA games , i have a feeling we are going to get some amazing games out of China in the future.
Here the true lesson. What is a thousand lifetime in the reincarnation cycle? Pig head is nothing but stubborn. He's going to keep at it till it stops.
The animation of chapter 2 correlates to chapter 3, and not just chapter 2's explanation. Actually the headless guy from chapter 2 is the real villain. The man in the animation had a nightmare that killed the fox he had originally saved, and this man later turned out to be a disciple of yellow brow, who actually has an ability to MANIPULATE dreams. He's always had a tendency to want to test people, like the animation at the end of chapter 3, so it was actually yellow brow who manipulated that men's dream. And the headless Buddha in chapter 2 is actually equally hypocritical. He wasn't telling the truth. He's just manipulating your understanding of the story. He may actually be the cause of the plague. And then he put all the responsibility on that yellow wind yaoguai
Both are quite sad, in Bajie's he lost his beauty, status and also the woman he loved. For the Bull king, he lost his Son, his sworn brother and now is grieving with his wife while also being very injured. This game's story really makes you pity for all these characters.
@@CodeDemons Not only that, he was betrayed by his son, betrayed by his brother, his wife wanted to surrender to the enemy, and his mistress was killed. If he chooses not to fight back, he will lose everything. If he chooses to fight back, he will still lose everything.

The ch5 non-linear montage is astonishing once I figure out the whole story, definately top tier animation there. In JTW, Wukong work for Celectrial for his redemption, need Bull for some favor, mainly the Fan. 5. Bull don't like Celetrial Court refuse to work with him (or Wukong team pissed him off). Here goes, Celestrial + Wukong VS Bull, Bull got decapitated don't worry, YaoGuai doesn't die that easily. 8. Flashback to "now", Bull was forced to join the anti-monke army, seeing his own brother died in his arms. Maybe he finanlly realize Wukong was right, or maybe, he just can't get things right. His family is broken, his best friend gone, other friends did not show up to help, his son is gone. The mourn of this old father, old warrior is truely heart breaking.
Yellow brow story reminds me of story of adam and his sons. When eve became ill, adam didnt know what to do and he prayed to god and an angel came with a golden apple and he gave the apple to eve and as soon she ate it she became better. So anytime anyone would get ill angels would bring these apple. Until sons of adam started to store these apples and start selling them and due to their greed the apples stop coming.
I think the second story is telling me (asking Sun Wukong): Do you know why we (celestial court / heaven) have to kill you, Sun Wukong? Or in a more gentle way, do you know why you should obey us, Sun Wukong?
its not just greed , it was a bet knowing that nature of the public will consume its principal. its also how despite knowing the end they gave them a chance. the subtext is also poltics
The fox story seems like one of the stories from Liaozhai (Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio) compiled by Pu Songling. I really love the stop motion animation. It’s eerie and I love the horror reveal but it’s very beautiful and heartwarming at the same time. I always love huli jing stories, it’s very erotic but I also like that it has a playful nature to it but it’s always told as a cautionary tale to be mindful of lust and desire of the flesh.
Not quite. The turtle spirit wanted that outcome all along. It believed humans were irredeemably greedy creatures, and so made a bet that he was right. To win that bet, he artificially created the circumstances that would lead to human greed. It's like if someone claimed tigers were all man-eating monsters, so before exposing a tiger to a human, tortured and starved the animal first to get the outcome he wanted. When attempting to discern such a truth, is a deliberately engineered outcome meaningful at all?
Starvation can lead to greed. He sows it to prove the point that human is naturally greedy. But is it really our nature when he purposefully creates a situation that lead to that outcome?
Agree. Like Wukong said, he's ill-fated to make a wrong choice at every turn due to his bullheaded approach. Lost the war against the heaven which lead to celestial frocing his wife to get pregnant by drinking water from Childbearing River, his concubine got killed because he went against Wukong during Journey to the West because he refuse to lent them the fan, and ignored Wukong's warning to stay away from the remain due to his guilt sealing his fate as a stepping stone to Wukong's resurrection.
@@truck_0097its not just that. He took the celestial deal and chose to betray wukong in order to go back to his family, and that drove him into unending guilt and depression. If you read the journal he eventually went almost mad with grief, stopped eating and goes up the mountain to retch up the relic constantly. Look at the state he was in when we found him in game. Weak, skinny and having lost his will to live, betrayed and mortally wounded by the son he raised. A life full of regret.
I really like the Bajie story and it does a bit of retconning but I’m all for it. Most of the account of Bajie’s origin was that he lacked self control, he was once the Heavenly Marshal/Admiral but he got drunk and attempted to assault Chang’e the moon goddess because of his lust. He was doomed to endure a thousand lifetimes of heartbreaks and love tragedies. But in this game, he gets drunk and follows Chang’e and also encounters Violet but his curse is not really his fault because he never assaulted Chang’e. Instead he witnesses the Jade Emperor’s affair with Chang’e and therefore he is punished, because the Jade Emperor wants to cover up his affair. Therefore, his curse here was unjust and his plight more tragic. Also his fate is weaved in with violet spider (pun intended). I read some theories that Tianpeng initially ignored Violet because he only had eyes on Chang’e. If he only cherished what is in front of him, he would not have to endure all this pain. But Violet never let go of her love of Tianpeng. One theory was that when Violet heard he has reincarnated into an animal, Violet left the heavens to follow him but she misheard because spider and pig are homonyms in Chinese so she reincarnated into spider although Bajie was a pig. The creators of this game truly put a lot of thought into this story and it makes it more beautiful and sad.
Buddhist Heaven and Taoist Heaven are two different superpowers in the Chinese mythology system. Every big boss in the game surrendered to the Buddhist gods in the Journey to the West novel, but in the game they all betrayed Buddhist Heaven and supported Taoist Heaven after collecting the remains of Wukong.
During the game, Zhu Baije (pig) is very funny and also a good company for us, however, since we are watching this anime from the (buffalo)'s point of view, it is very interesting to see Zhu Bajie as a villain for him, along with Wukong, and the jokes have a totally different tone. This must be how our enemies see us during the game.
In the turtle chap: The monk's point is that people are not greedy, they become like that because of the turtle. The turtle's point is that if they are not greedy initially, who could make them act like that? In the end, the turtle won the bet (I don't think he is wrong).
Huang Mei constantly tempt fishermen to commit crimes in order to win over Jin Chanzi. It is not honorable to induce crime first and then arrest people, right? Huang Mei is the most cunning hunter and has insight into the weaknesses of human nature. In sociology,it's sure that human nature cannot be tested. He first appeared in the form of a turtle (prey). But the fishermen were scared and did not intend to eat him, so they wanted the officials to execute him. Huang Mei quickly showed his ability and wealth and tempted the fishermen again. But the fishermen sincerely worshipped him. Because he showed his energy, everyone worshipped him and prayed for his blessings, and everything was in order. Huang Mei finally got tired of it and was eager to win. So he used his ability to control a person and caused chaos. He deliberately did not resist in order to thoroughly stimulate people's greed. The officials wanted to maintain order, but when they found that he did not fight back, they joined in. The treasure was only temporary, and the conflicts caused were all up to us to guess. The fishing village was still destroyed. He was a Buddha. It means that he is immortality, though he looked like he had suffered heavy losses. Through reincarnation, he will be active again. Your idea is also due to the inflammatory and confusing nature of Huang Mei's speech. If you play the third chapter, I believe you will have a deeper understanding of him. His idea of completely indulging desires, without any restraint, will only bring disaster. He wants to win by any means, which will definitely hurt others, and this should not be advocated. Ignoring right and wrong and only talking about winning and losing will also have a price. "Winning" is not the same as "right". I believe that as time goes by, you will also find his absurdity. He can't lie to everyone all the time. I hope you will not fall into the trap of being eager to win by all means.

Bruh, this is chinese culture/folklore in video format, not some random ass animation like love death robots 😂
Thanks this is helpful
is all of this happen in real JTTW or half later of it is game original?
I really don't remember this part in JTTW

So he went to ask Guanyin Bodhisattva for help. Guanyin Bodhisattva transformed into the appearance of Lingxuzi. Sun Wukong then transformed into a magic pill and let the black bear spirit eat it. Here’s the English translation of the annotations I provided:
### 1. **The Relationship Between Tianpeng Marshal and Taiyin Xingjun**
- **Background**: In Chinese mythology, Tianpeng Marshal (the celestial identity of Zhu Bajie) is a general of the Heavenly Court, while Taiyin Xingjun is the goddess in charge of the moon.
### 2. **Chang’e's Identity**
- **Annotation**: In Chinese mythology, Chang’e is typically considered an individual, the Moon Goddess. However, in this context, Chang’e is used as a title representing all the maids serving Taiyin Xingjun. This might be confusing for Western readers. This setting hints at the multiplicity of roles within the mythological world and the blurred lines between names and identities.
### 3. **Bajie’s Love and Tragedy**
- **Annotation**: Bajie’s mistake in recognizing Gao Cuilan as Chang’e is a classic tragic misunderstanding.
### 4. **The Spider’s Lair and the Purple Spider**
- **Background**: The Spider’s Lair is a famous den of monsters in "Journey to the West," and the Purple Spider is one of these monsters.
### 5. **The Power and Ruthlessness of the Heavenly Court**
- **Annotation**: The Heavenly Court mentioned in the story is the highest authority in Chinese mythology, similar to Mount Olympus in Greek mythology but more strict and ruthless.
### 6. **The Love of Letting Go**
- **Explanation**: In the story between Bajie and the Purple Spider, Bajie chooses to let go to protect her, which is a painful but selfless form of love.

Jinchanji (in Tripitaka's previous life, he was Wukong's master) and his Brother the Turtle in the video made a bet with each other: Is human greed limitless? And as we have seen, there is no limit at all. When people are given something, they just want more and more. The senior brother said:
"I won."
But Jinchanji only said:
"Isn't it sad that you only care about winning or losing like that?"
Is it because people are greedy, or is it because "gods" have given them too much to arouse that greed?

Akan timbul sesorang yang bijak(a wise man) yg menuntun sesamanya menuju perdamaian. Dimasa depan makin banyak manusia yang teredukasi.
I really love how developers put 2D animations and even stop motion to their games.
It just adds creativity and uniqueness to their game.
Isn't the world amazing? A few lines can make you cry and be moved.
I hope people pay attention to the quality of this animation
everyone will notice it the moment they watch it.
youd have to be blind to not notice the quality haha its better than most animated movies and its in a game

You can tell that they put love into this game, just like you can tell that the Dustborn devs only put spite and hate into their game (And i'm not even joking, they basically said so themselves)
Something that is extremely, extremely rare for the 20s of this century
Erlang is the Professor Snape of this game, he is the misunderstood hero of the story.
Could you explain?
Everyone talking about the gameplay but barely talk about the animation quality!! It's on par or even beyond studio Ghibli quality
Game Science will be the gaming industry savior. One game and is better than those overestimated souls-gta whatever games.
These animations alone are just stellar. Then there is the rest of the game which was also insanely good. As an overseas rabbit, I am grateful to be living in these times and see the rejuvenation of the Chinese civilization😍🥰
this is some love death and robots type animation man superb
China should be so proud of these developers , im expecting they inspired many other Chinese devs to make AAA games , i have a feeling we are going to get some amazing games out of China in the future.
You know what? Good for the turtle. He became a skinny legend.
very true.

Bājiè 's story is the most sad story ever in this game :(
I think it’s the Bull King’s
Both are quite sad, in Bajie's he lost his beauty, status and also the woman he loved. For the Bull king, he lost his Son, his sworn brother and now is grieving with his wife while also being very injured. This game's story really makes you pity for all these characters.
@@CodeDemons
Not only that, he was betrayed by his son, betrayed by his brother, his wife wanted to surrender to the enemy, and his mistress was killed. If he chooses not to fight back, he will lose everything. If he chooses to fight back, he will still lose everything.
"Since ancient times, loving deeply will only leave painful regrets. This regret continues to flow on, with no end in sight." This is Zhu Bajie's favorite poem. Appear in the TV show from 1996.

The ch5 non-linear montage is astonishing once I figure out the whole story, definately top tier animation there.
After Wukong vs Celestrial Court, Wukong said Bull's life is full of wrong choices. This animation is about Bull's memory of the past. The number refers to the *time order*
7.After the fight, Bull hold his brother Wukong in his arm, start thinking about the past
1. The first time Wukong + Bull + other bros VS Celestrial Court.
*Bull's family issues, some of this problem are somehow related or caused by the Cele or Buddha
2. Wife pregnant but not his kid.
6. Rebellious son who found out he's the last one of Yakkha, seek vengence againt the Celestial, ask Bull for Wukong relic
4. Bull's wife would like to offer the fan for a truce
The third cartoon almost reminds me of a myth. How a creature would test mankind and see how greedy they are.
Second story 3:50
Third story 7:22
Fourth story 12:07
Fifth story 16:05
that animations are so good, that each print screen you take looks like a wallpaper
Thank you the journey to the west tv series, now i understand these all cutscenes. Even the greedy monk with his black bear demon pupil. Lol
You got it reversed lol 😂
The monk is the pupil 😊
Yellow brow story reminds me of story of adam and his sons. When eve became ill, adam didnt know what to do and he prayed to god and an angel came with a golden apple and he gave the apple to eve and as soon she ate it she became better. So anytime anyone would get ill angels would bring these apple. Until sons of adam started to store these apples and start selling them and due to their greed the apples stop coming.

The third animation is quite simular to the Hen who Lays Golden Egg from the Aesop's Fables.
When attempting to discern such a truth, is a deliberately engineered outcome meaningful at all?
that's the first layer. the 2nd layer is that Huamei trigged people to get greedy to win
Starvation can lead to greed. He sows it to prove the point that human is naturally greedy. But is it really our nature when he purposefully creates a situation that lead to that outcome?
Everyone says the pig story is sad but bull demon king’s story is very fucked up and very humane

In the turtle chap:
The monk's point is that people are not greedy, they become like that because of the turtle.
