Unfortunately I needed more detail about the "ease" I have been struggling with McCall's M7022 in that it has a full skirt, and I am finding it impossible to fit/ ease all the fabric into the yoke!!! I am using a fine cotton polyester mix, so not bulky fabric!
hi could you please do a video 'how to line a skirt'? Thanks! PS I love how easy explained and helpful your videos are. The best! :) hello from Guernsey, UK! :)
hello! We do have a tutorial on this but it's currently part of our premium membership on professorpincushion.com. I show you how to do a simple lining on a basic skirt.
HI Professor Pincushion ! Im sewing a project for a theater production coming up and I was having problems sewing the vest in sewing pattern Butterick 6196 . I don't know if you've ever sewed this historic costume but i love how informative your videos are so I would love if you did a video on this pattern ! Thanks again !
I can't do a full pattern tutorial at this time but I'll gladly try to help if you find yourself stuck. On our site, professorpincushion.com, we have a tab called Ask A Question and you can even post pics of the pattern directions you're having trouble with. I'll do my best to help you figure it out. You can do it! :)
Why is my yoke so much longer than the hole in my skirt that would be the opening? I cant find the directions for that specific view of the skirt that I'm making and I'm getting so frustrated. The yoke fits around me perfectly but I cut the same size pattern pieces for my circle skirt with yoke and the opening when front and back are pinned together are so tiny I could never fit it. And the yoke is like 1 1/2 times as long. I just dont understand.
Hmmm....I don't understand exactly what the issue is. Do you mean the waistline is too small once it's sewn together? Maybe use our Ask a Question feature on our website and you can attach images for me to understand better.
I wished that I had watched this many zipper installations ago. Best zipper video by far! Thank you!
Wow, thank you!
Thank you. This is neat. I'm sewing stretch fabric i tennis clothes.
okay, I realise I am three and half years late, but this is an amazing tutorial. Thank you.
A great feature I could add to some skirts for the spring/summer. Your videos are always a great help to me. Thanks xxx

If I make this yoke out of a satiny type fabric can I use the same material to make the facing?
