The King and Queen visited the Lochcarron tartan mill in Selkirk where they toured the factory floor and saw an array of the 500 tartans made there.

This KC III and wife have quiet yet somehow spectacular visits with out of the way places and sites. The fanfsre is minimal, with little or no parades, or uniformed guards standing in formation outside, and the appreciation by the Monarch and his subjects is endearing. Humbleness is a trait God wants all of us to have, and here we see it in a king and his queen. This is marvelous.
why would there be parades and guards for visits like these, there wasn't for our late Queen either,

I have a tartan that Locharron made in 2000, for the Millennium. I bought it at the UK pavilion at Epcot, in FL, USA. They make lovely items. 😊
Thank goodness, the brave King Charles III has decided to stand with Russia and the Orthodox Church, in these defining moments of European and world history. The fight against modernism must be won, and Britain should be on the right page of history this time, the page on which the servants of God punish the evils of modernism (Liberalism, Conservatism, Left Liberalism, Capitalism, and Fascism). It's time we attack France too and reclaim our lands, the French are already in disarray while at the same time, the King must also put to sword his enemies at home; the Wokish parliament, the British bourgeoisie and the British media. Confident of King's confidence in Russian exploits in NATO's backyard the Pope too would come out strong and call for the European people to rise against their irreligious leadership and move Europe back to the days of Christianity. I have this feeling that this King despite his many many flaws and shortcomings, could be the Archippus of our times, to whom it was said;
“Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it.” (Colossians 4:17)

It's lovely to see the huge crowds welcoming our King and Queen in Scotland today . The Royal Family Love Scotland and Hollyrood week in Scotland is a very special and significant time for them . Love the Scottish people , The Tradition, The Bagpipes, and the Kilts . Royal Week in Scotland is just awesome .

What a beautiful place to visit! I’m wondering why KC didn’t buy himself a matching tie for his kilt?! They were on display behind him. As a child I had a lovely and thick woolen plaid blanket ( with the rolled fringe) like ones they were presented with… It wasn’t a tartan plaid but one that my mother bartered for from an old woman when we lived in Greece…But it was very similar… and very warm!

Particularly ibteresting. Whaat is the Tartan King Charles is wearing? It is very simikar to my High School colours except our green was “bottle green”;
Then O found Almindokelvin who says it is the Royal Stuart Tartan. Seems likely that a King would wear a Royal tartan. My history knowlege lets me down here.
I think of the Stuarts as being far back in history…..
I imagine in this situation it makes sense. After James II got booted off the throne it was decided all future heirs had to be descended from Princess Sophia who was James I granddaughter, so the royal family is still at least descended from Stuarts if not in name.
