When it comes to the sartorial dash of the Prince of Wales, it's important to remember that his highland wear is all made bespoke. His wardrobe is crafted by 'Anderson & Shepherd' on Saville Row - an old company noted for their soft construction compared to most British tailors.
Thus if you really want to dress like Charlie, you may need a trip to London and a great deal of funding.
That said, it is possible to borrow some of the broad features of Charles' kilted daywear look such as his shawl collared waistcoats and jackets with 3.5" lapels. If you are interested in such items, please feel free to email us.
In more general terms, the highland attire of the Prince of Wales is admired for it's crisp, understated look. We often talk about the "timelessness" of the kilt and oh smart highland dress, and nobody exemplifies this better than His Royal Highness.

Prince Charles openly admits that he hates throwing any clothes away. He only buys new when his old clothes either wear out, or no longer fit.
He's had some suits for decades, but as they're classic designs, they never go out of fashion, and they're all bespoke, made from the best cloth, so they last.
You buy cheap, you'll buy twice or 3 times.
I have met His Royal Highness , Duke of Rothesay several times when I served in the Gordon Highlanders . He was the Regiments Colonel in Chief. He is a very approachable and down to earth man who has a vast knowledge of Scottish Heritage. His attention to detail goes beyond sporrans and he is very aware of which tartans to wear in particular regions of Scotland. When the family spend their summer vacation at Balmoral Castle on Royal Deeside he always visits with the local community and attends many of the local Highland Games in the surrounding towns and villages.

He should know something about Scottish history. His grandmother, Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon is Scots. Her childhood home was Glamis Castle.

Prince Charles always dressed correctly and immaculately, even down to the jacket sleeve lengths. Take a look. A great ambassador for all of us who want to look good when it counts.
I love seeing Price Charles in a kilt! Anything to normalize it is a good thing.
I read that Prince Charles' inherited his sporran from his grandfather, King George VI, who inherited it from his father King George V.
They have intermarried for years... They are German... Not celt AT ALL.... That brooksbanks kid is probably the first fully celt person in the entire history of their family..
Why does William or Harry never wear a kilt? His grandmother was very proud of her Scottish heritage.
In the close up of Charles sporran we can see that his buttons are antler.
I think it helps that Charles has the Royal Dresser to make sure he's put together.
Anyone can call kilt outlets like the above or Kinloch Anderson for sartorial advice, come on. Anyway, after a lifetime in highland wear I doubt the Prince needs it.

The gray day jacket with shawl lapel weskit is outstanding. I had it copied by a tailor and got married in it. Needed day wear jacket and don’t care for all the military detailing on Argyles and tweed kilt jackets.

I like that his jackets don't have all the Victorian or military embellishments. Simple and clean. Duke of Argyll does much the same.
A plug for you, I received my Rothesay a couple of weeks ago. It is really the nicest sporran I could wear without going full formal with cantle. It is the highest quality and a style that fits my taste. No buyers remorse on this purchase.
Hunting sporrans are probably my favourite style.

It's a shame none of his kids embraced the kilt...William would have looked smart in one. Charles dresses well in his. Some of the tartans match his red cheeks 🤣

Newbie question... do you match the leather color of shoes and sporran? Black shoes + black sporran?
I have two brown sporrans and belts but no brown shoes for day wear . It was not or is not a thing in Scotland as far as I know so don't fret about matching shoe colour to the sporran . Defiantly match for formal wear however . There aren't too many rules for day wear . It's what you feel comfortable with .
Bro I’m considering mixing that with more of a punker style. Such as a leather jacket and Doc Martens. But, we’ll see. I need to get my kilt and such first.
