I drove these 2000-2005 Impalas as Taxis and they were very fast off the line but every single Impala had Transmission Failures and were replaced by the 2006 Impala models that were much slower and gas mileage was far worse and were constantly needing new front wheel hubs. Some 3400 engines had camshafts that would break destroying the engine, very poorly designed and built engines, The TBI 305 engines from the 91- 93 Caprice Taxis never had engine problems of any kind even after 500 K miles !
I have a beautiful grayish blue impala body is real nice except had a tree brand fall on the hood fuck! SMH hopefully can find another trunk lid same color too
This sure was a POS. You could take the key out while driving and in my experience, the transmission started to shift hard like it felt someone hit you from behind at 38k miles. Oh don’t forget about the instrument cluster that spazzes out like gauge needles being out of step. Hated this car.

I have a 04 SS it’s a great car for what it is. Practical, gas efficient, affordable and great for the everyday driver. Plus it’s sporty

I had a new Impala LS 3800. It was a very good car, and outside of one recall that involved all 3800 engines, never gave a moment's trouble.

I luv my 2003 impala. Victory red ofcourse. Why they didnt offer a rear wheel drive makes no sense too me! 👎
