For being terminators I feel like they were way too squishy in this game. Like your armor breaks pretty easy

Well, in lore, genestealers are known to slicing terminator armors like knife through butter

​@@NahtsWorldthe fact that terminator armor is constantly said to be "near invincible" yet constantly shown to be torn to shreds is such a striking lore inconsistency that I just can't ever wrap my head around. Especially when it's done by something like geenstealers who are relatively weak in the setting
Like if the imperiums absolute best most impregnable armor can be punched through by a low level chaff monster, why wear armor at all?

I feel like they did it just right in Deathwing. Even on No Mercy you can take a lot of his that will not penetrate armour, if you know how to move. Tyranids have main attacks as linear leaps, and if you strafe, they miss and subsequent normal strikes get easily deflected by the armour. You will constantly hear "clings and clangs" on your armour and will take no damage. Especially at point blank range, when they are too close to do main leap attack. Also, hybrids can shoot their MGs at you for no damage, unless there's really a lot of them. You can also take quite a few RPGs without getting damage. Problems are critical his which can happen from time to time, but that's kinda RND which makes it unpredictable and fun. Apart from that, Stalkers always penetrate armour with their leap attacks from the cloak, and usually at the main reason of 1 shot deaths on No Mercy. But they have talons the size of fork lifter so no wonder they can do that. 2nd most dangerous foe is Psyker, but that's again fine, as they use energy that ignores physical armour. Lastly, you can be attacked by a Brood Lord or Scythe Strain which are both the size of a truck, so no wonder they can penetrate Terminator armour. But even then, you can block and you won't get instantly killed, but the armour still gives you a fighting chance. So yeah, armour works. Just learn to move, and not take hits to the face, relaying just on armour to save you.😊
Oh yeah, on higher difficulty, 20% armour bonus perk is a MUST. However, on lower, if you use it, you will feel like a proverbial tank...Tyranids attacks will mostly turn into nothing more but a nuisance, and their screeching doing more psychological damage then their claws.
