Andrew, love your goblin content!! Just wanted to mention that you had a turn 3 win if you order the Recruiter cards like this - Conspicuous Snoop Skirk Prospecter Goblin Warchief Goblin Instigator Mogg War Marshall Then you have to spend 2 for the Dockside, get the 5 treasures, spend 2 to cast the Snoop, tap your last Mountain for the Prospector, then sac your Pilferer to the Prospector. You'll have 4 treasures and 1 red floating. Spend 3 for the Warchief, spend 1 for the Instigator (creating a goblin), sac the goblin token for 1 red, spend that 1 red for the Mogg War Marshall (creating a goblin), then sac the Marshall (creating a goblin) and its token for 2 red. Use that 2 red and your last treasure to cast Krenko. Then tap Krenko, creating 8 goblins. Sac Krenko and 4 goblins for five red, use that mana to recast Krenko. Tap Krenko again, this time for 12 goblins, sac Krenko and 6 goblins for the mana to recast Krenko, tap him, sac again, each time netting goblins, until you have infinite goblins and you can swing for the win! Hopefully at least a little of this was understandable!
This game was a perfect example why you should never play cards like Oath of Druids mindlessly, without the way to break the parity (i.e. with Containment Priest). 95% of the time it would just make one of your opponents win.
@@COJred1 i think what he meant was playing the card without anyway to get a major benefit from it is a bad idea, cuz all three of your opponents are getting triggers as well. Without it Andrew would have been much slower and may have even lost the game
@kevinkennedy-8606 It's a group hug deck, Oath of druids is probably the coolest, most unpredictable, and downright fun card to play in the whole deck, but that's my opinion.
@@COJred1 I’m not begrudging you for playing it you do you obviously. And if your playing group hug it’s a good card, it’s just that more often than not it benefits your opponents way too much unless you have some way to get a bigger advantage off of it.
@@COJred1 Based on my experience, there are 2 types of group hug players: 1. Ones that use group hug tools as a political tool by trying to help the players that are behind and stopping the players that are ahead, all while they progress their own gameplan for winning. They are actually pretty interesting and cool to play against. 2. Ones that just mindlessly throw cards that benefit the whole table, without any consideration (i.e. Oath of Druids t2 into mana doubler t3 into extra card draw t4 and so on). It is usually very annoying to play against them, as the game turns into unpredictable random fiesta with the person sitting right after the group hug player having the biggest chance of winning. Unfortunately, most of the times group hug is played in the second way, not the first.
When the trashmaster etb u got infinite tokens (sac a goblin to destroy an artifact, before resolves but after untap krenko do it again and again and again and again...)
Why did Corwin mana drain the archivist? A zyris deck loves nothing more than to have other people wheel for him. He could've left it up to stop kranko coming down with haste.
Maybe he didn't want to open himself up too much to Petitioners milling, which was probably what would've happened if he got hit by Windfall every turn. Or maybe he wanted to have enough cards in the library if he went for Niv + Curiosity combo.
I think Muddstah had infinite on turn 5 with Warchief and Prospector, making enough goblins to break parity on commander tax. EDIT: Or that, that works too. I paused and commented before watching the tutor. 😅
I noticed that. Andrew clearly had the winning board state and was at the edge of going infinite and instead of doing the smart thing and attacking him, they totally ignore him. It blows my mind. Why not mill him? Put the goblins he put on top into his graveyard, something? Also, Krenko is cool one time but sadly he is the same every game after. I've played against 5 krenko decks over the years and they always do the same thing, and unless you have a fast answer or opening boardwipe, you just die.

god damn.. nice catch
@@_claymore that was an easy catch! andrew fucked up.. this should have been a 5 minute game haha
Oath of Druids was more like "Oath of Goblins" today.

How Is It possible to see a krenko on the table and not targeting It until Is taken out
Watching 2 players completely throw the game one after another was crazy.
"Friends are just opponents you haven't eliminated yet."
Xyris and Krenko; My two favorite commanders!!!
Everyone else should've drawn a card after Corwin played Xyris following Zenith Chronicler..
Good catch!
And that's how goblins get down!

@@corwinniederer9763 you definitely did it out of spite, that or you felt you would waste your “turn” by not countering something
I thought that too. I would welcome an archivist on the field if I was piloting that deck. Spend the Mana Drain to keep it alive. 😅
After rewatching the game. It was a spite move. He conveniently forgot to remind me of the oath trigger. And I maybe held a bit of a grudge
Can we get the decklist for the Chulane deck?

My Xyris deck is my pet deck! So much fun to play.
I have a brother Fred who does not game, a brother Andrew who ???, and a youngest son Corwin who plays at decent skill level.
Why Fred didn't play the Thrumming Stone? 😢
How powerful would you rate your kranko deck honestly. Trying to build a very powerful version of it
No Tomer goblin joke? Would've fit this pretty well lol
That ashlyn rose intro with the releasing of goblins would've been appropriate for this episode 😂
corwin with the spite plays
Doesn't 3 untap from liege allowed selvala to parley 4 times during each players turn?
No. It's not a triggered ability, so the creatures only untap once.
"which is probably a good idea considering my turn" you did nothing with a million mana.
Yeah but it looked scary so that’s what matters
andrew had the win on turn three if he had kiki jiki and mogg savage on his deck
Charles hit you for 16 in the air. Next turn he absolutely ignores you and promptly dies. Classic threat assessment, and by that I mean none at all

GOBBO OVERLOAD 🤯
Playing Krenko, Mob Boss is like playing the game on easy mode it's not hard to pilot.
Too many great, cheap goblins. Unless you pack rakdos charm or a board wipe in your opening hand, the games over by turn 5 half the time.
First
dang i wanted to be first lol
