    Factory I commented on your video two 2001 and 2003. The set up is different. I will give you that heads up because I’m working on my own vehicle.😊

    Thanks for the video. I would recommend providing more camera angles, rather than a side angle where you are pointing to places that we cannot see, such as at 3:24

    I have a kia optima on my hands so your input really helps. Thank you for taking the time to make this. I was so discouraged that I was thinking that I was going to have to take it to a mechanic because of the negative feedback I was getting about what it was going to take to pull it off.

      Chris R... glad it helped. It’s really not bad to get this job done, not to mention the amount of money you save, good luck...

    I think I have to get down to replacing my entire power steering system myself and I’m doing it as a complete newbie to mechanics but I feel like watching your video. I am more capable of handling this challenge I will be looking for more I have a 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe that I bought from a used car lot and so I’m in for my hard work in Florida.

    Thanks for the vid. I have replaced the pump 3 times and it continues to whine. I purchased an original pump, not refurbished for the 4th try. I have also replace the rack and pinion.
    I have continued spill over from the reservoir and bubbling foam when I take off the oil cover lid.
    I’m going to bleed the lines before putting in the new pump.
    Any other suggestions? Are the lines the problem?

      @FastEddieQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Charlie sorry you are having so much troubles… Look, the vehicle you saw in this video was having the same issues, they replaced the pump twice and it worked for a few days then back to the whining, in my case the pump wasn’t the issue, the problem was on the lines that I replaced on this video… I would recommend replacing all the lines, high and low pressure, this way you know for sure you don’t have a leak

    • @FastEddieQ
      @FastEddieQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can color dye to see where leaks are, but if leak is in places where you can’t see it, then you are out of lock… $200 on parts from rock auto and 3 hrs of work, that’s all you need… good luck.

    Fast Eddie I like your video well done I like to ask you question hopefully you can get back to me. I have a 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe is the set up still the same way cause I have a leak in the power steering low line low pressure line.

    How did you remove and re-tighten the upper (low pressure) line ? In the video you already have it removed. I can't get enough room to turn a wrench in there. Did you cut the metal line at the fitting so you could slip a socket over it?

    I know this is a longshot on getting a reply, but does anybody know if this is the same for the 3.5 engine?

  • @FastEddieQ
    @FastEddieQ  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    TC, some how I can’t see your reply, but your high pressure line is connected to the a pressure hose that is connected to the power steering pump, if your problem is above the the fitting where I connected my high pressure line, the you must buy the upper half of the high pressure line, which is easier to do, good lack

    I have a 2.7 2003 Hyundai santa fe and the mechanic is telling me that they don't make the part no more apparently my Santa fe has the cooler infront of the radiator and he says they discontinued and I was wondering if you have the part number thanks

    I did this... Bottom line is its a tight squeeze.. Lots of maneuvering.
    This line is commonly rusted out where it sits on underside.

    at 3min you show unscrewing the damn line but not what everyone wants to see you struggle to get it loose!! typical youtube garbage

    • @FastEddieQ
      @FastEddieQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had no issues unscrewing my lines... like everything else I use penetrating oil a few hours before attempting to brake loose any bolts and or lines. Good luck!
