We have an old originally feral girl who we took in. She's too old to leave home so, we tried taking her and lo and behold, she actually seems to like going camping and is extremely well behaved. She has her spot to hide and uses her box and it works out great surprisingly to me. She likes looking out the window and keeps the dogs in line... She is the best behaved of the bunch...and rules accordingly.

We've never traveled with cats; even though we used to have one years ago before going full-time, mostly because we would always afraid that they would take off since they are about as nomadic as we are. But these are some great tips. It may be something we give a try. These guys are just so adorable.
Love the way you fixed the litter box. Ours is currently behind our couch in one of those cat cabinets but we've talked about doing it like you did. Thank you for sharing! Our little Angel has a toy box under her cat tree. We are constantly finding toys she's gotten out for us. 🤣

I can see why you converted the outdoor kitchen for the litter - it was a bit small for a kitchen, but makes for a perfect litter space! Looking forward to seeing the catio you make!

Good way to travel with cats, nice ideas in the truck there. We use to have a cat and traveling with her was always rough. Only dogs for us now but this should be really informative for people looking to start traveling with their cats. 👍🏼
Becoming a traveling cat can be a difficult transition. We have explored lots of ways to make it easier from anxiety meds, to motion sickness pills, to these calming collars. It's all a matter of what works best for your cat. Don't give up, maybe you get a kitten. It is so much easier to start when an animal is a kitten or puppy so it's all they know. Kiln dried pine pelkets at Tractor Supply(Horse Bedding)we purchase for $5.99 for a 40lb bag. You only place an inch or less in litter pan when using a sift pan litterbix. Serious game changer. Use 2-3 bags for a whole year for 1 cat!!! So about $12-$18 for litter per year. When they pee on it ~ it will turn to sawdust. We only place a about 1/2- 1 inch in bottom of pan. Use a Arm and Hammer sift litterbox.

awesome video! We travel with our cat, Lacie, and we joke that she has the best seat in the house (the whole back seat belongs to her) lol... And she doesn't stop meowing unless she's involved in every decision we make while driving... Oh, and inside the camper, we took out the kitchen table to make room for ALL HER STUFF! She's worth it though.. :) We also use cedar chips (Tractor Supply) for litter and that works great. You don't smell anything when she goes which is awesome! God bless you guys!! Kevin and Kristi

@@CruisinwiththeColemans lol yea she always has to have the best seat in the house. We haven’t done a “Lacie” special yet but we may in the future. She doesn’t like the camera most times though. When she’s doing something funny and we pull out the camera, she stops. It’s weird. In the truck though I don’t think she knows the camera is rolling so we kind of trick her. Lol.
“Vacation for Life”, I love that sweatshirt. It pretty much sums up RV life. I love hearing about how you’ve modified your rig & truck for your furry friends. Altering your outdoor kitchen for storage AND for the cat waste is awesome!!!! Too bad you don’t get any royalties from those Coleman grills. Lol. I love that your cats can be leashes so they can enjoy the outdoors safely. Happy Camping everybody.

We love cats so much! I have been given the title crazy cat lady and proud haha when my last cat Lady Meow Meow passed we decided not to get another one until we settled down more. It’s so amazing seeing that not only can cats go with you but they can have an enjoyable experience. I love that you care about everything from space, to physical and mental comfort. So amazing! I'm wanting to build out a 100% Stealth box truck with no windows to travel solo. I have a cat, but I'm not sure how to create a stealth CATIO to keep my little baby cool, while I gone for a couple of hours. I was thinking of creating a small opening in the floor down into a cage so she is covered, hidden, and has a breeze
Where do you find those things that's on the side of your breakfast bar there that you said they can scratch on you can rub them they can rub your bodies and brushes them I've been looking for those for

Pine litter rocks! At home we use it exclusively. I'll never go back to clay, clumping or sand type litters.
