Absolutely, when I picked up mine I was a little disappointed by the $180 price tag but it came in an upgraded steel so I couldn’t complain much. Still a fantastic knife, and that camo handle with the DLC coat is a great lookin knife

You cannot go wrong with any paramilitary knives, I can easily recommend the lightweight version which is one of my favorite smaller knives but the g10 in s30v is absolutely amazing as well, and even better than that is the maxamet version with g10 handles. I am extremely glad I could point you in a good direction for edc!

I am surprised at the number of reviews I have seen where the reviewers complain that the jimping is tough on their hands during any substantial knife work. I would have expected that people who are so into knives would have fairly tough hands from working with knives so much. Apparently, the most work that some people/reviewers actually do with their knives is just flicking the knife blade open and closed.
I have an S30V digi camo with DLC coated blade and an S110V. The S30V had terrible lock stick. I took it apart, cleaned and lubricated everything and put it back together using blue loc-tite. I was very careful with the screws on the pivot and blade stop. Bingo! No more lock stick. My S110V was fully broken in when it developed lock stick. I did the same thing. Took it apart, cleaned and lubricated it and put it back together. No more lock stick. Only problem with the S110V is when it first arrived, it was perfectly centered. The blade seems to have moved toward the front scale and now, I can't get it centered no matter how careful I put it back together and adjust the screws.
I’ve never heard of others having this problem so it may be possible you have a bit of a lemon but I definitely would look into it. Especially for such a pricey piece
I've got a Shaman and a couple of G10 Para 3s. What do those knives have in common? Their blade stops are of the floating variety. None of them have any lock stick. I also have a Para 3 LW in SPY27. The blade stop on that one is screwed in like the Para Military 2. Guess what? It's got lock stick.
So this video was made not soon after I had picked this knife up and the detent was relatively stiff for the first few weeks I had it, hence the aggressive flick haha. I can promise it’s a lot better 2 years later
@@cheaperthanyouthink2646 Yeah S45VN. I was surprised. It wasn't listed when I made the purchase. So I thought it would be S30. But when it was delivered it was S45. Damn, thank you Spyderco.
@@cheaperthanyouthink2646 Yeah I got lucky on that one. Couldn't really find anything wrong with it. The Maxamet PM2 has some small staining spots on the blade though. But for $79 it's a steal
got this exact knife made in colorado. i have lock stick, blade grinding, and it deploys like shit. returning it tomorrow for a new one. and if the next one i get is shit too. ill never be buying another spyderco.
@@cheaperthanyouthink2646 got my replacement pm2 in s45vn from spyderco. no lock stick... had it now for 2 months and it amazing. no lock stick, spyderco was quick to replace my defective one for me. and it never leaves my pocket. its truly a knife ill have for decades to come. 10/10 knife. spyderco has taken over benchmade as my all time favourite knife manufacturer. absolutely superb
Rename this video "Spyderco Military 2 Opinion". Most people can read specs, make spatial relationships as far as size of objects and most people having any interest in this knife has volumes of other meaningless "reviews". Likes and dislikes, "feels great to me", "awesome ____" don't mean squat too people unless you have established a personal benchmark most people can relate to.
If I was I would say “hey everybody Nick here and today we’re gonna be reviewing… let’s go over the good the great the bad and the ugly of this little gem right here”😂

I’m really digging the S45 on my camo PM2. Great steel with great heat treat.
My pm2 has still consistently been my all time favorite edc’er it’s just everything I need in a knife and its especially because of that steal

I love the jimping on the whole knife, it’s honestly quite ergonomic. After 2 years of owning this knife it’s still at the top of my list.

The lock stick will only increase if you keep opening the blade with the spyderflick that agressive.
