    Love it Man! Love the in depth video and even saying what you messed up on. Says alot about ya. Would you mind sharing the feeds and speeds on the cnc? I tend to get some tear out of the epoxy. But could also just be bubbles in it as well.

    Once you start doing the higher grits (220+) on just the epoxy section, the wood around it still gets sanded. Doesn't this make for a shinier wood on some parts?

  • @nathandavis7424
    @nathandavis7424 ปีที่แล้ว

    Cool project. I'm doing a similar project with rocks and clear epoxy. I came up short on clear, can I pour a clear top coat over the clear?

    • @jeffmackdesigns
      @jeffmackdesigns  ปีที่แล้ว

      You sure can! Give it a scuff between the layers, it will provide a stronger bond and help with layer blending. Seems counterintuitive but it's not, we promise. We have a blog post about multi-layer pours, read it here: jeffmacksupply.com/blogs/news/uvpoxy-how-to-all-you-need-to-know

    The polish doesn’t effect the untreated wood before the Rubio?

    • @jeffmackdesigns
      @jeffmackdesigns  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The wood we used was a softer species so it was somewhat stabilized from the epoxy pouring process. We also tried our best to keep the polishing compound off the wood portions of the table.

    I am going to make a golf table for a friend. Have never worked with epoxy before. Did you remove all of the epoxy over the wood with that CNC? Could you leave the epoxy covering the wood? I do not have a way of surfacing the top other than a sander. Your video was helpfull. Thanks

    • @jeffmackdesigns
      @jeffmackdesigns  ปีที่แล้ว

      We did remove all the epoxy from the top of wood. I wouldn’t recommend leaving it as it won’t finish up as nicely. I would try to find a local shop with a CNC or a large drum sander.
