    Thank you so much for this guide, I have a new 1050 Sport and have just bought a K and N filter to complement my Arrow Exhaust. Your video has given me the confidence to tackle this myself.

    That's one of the clearest explanations I've seen. Thank you, really looking forward to more.

    Nice one mate , came in handy when I fitted a MOSFET reg/rec and “pudding” cables to my battery. 👍👊

      @@thelikeablerider8800 you have to remember that you were ahead of the curve to start off with and as everyone else gets the opportunity to own a tiger sport 1050 they will eventually find this video.
      I am in my 2nd month of owning a 2014 tiger sport and I have already had the dreaded reg/rec failure and a new battery into the bargain. Love the bike though it is a welcome change to my zzr1400.

    Thank you, very useful. I wonder if you could expand a little more. I have a scotoiler and need to identify a vacuum pipe somewhere near the Airbox.

    Hi Shaun awesome vid. Question though. When you removed the fuel pipe there where 2 more cables you disconnected, could you sya which they where? Reason I had a leak in my tank and dealership added epoxy to to tank now my fuel gauge is totally dead I think they forgot to connect the sender again. Thanks in advance.

      +TheSilmarallion
      Hi
      Yeah they are electrical for the sender unit for the fuel gauge, for sure they've not connected it properly. One has a black socket, the other is brown and they can only be connected to the correct connection, so don't worry about which goes where. There are another two rubber tubes which I actually forgot to connect back up in the video....oooops, no one noticed! These are on the left hand side, and are for run offs by over filling. Have a look and let me know if that helped.
      Thanks for the support on the channel, much appreciated

    Shaun, I was brave enough to follow your guide today, I needed to remove my Tank to fit my K & N Filter, I am so glad you made the video as it helped massively. I wont say how long it took me, as a novice I will be honest I found it a challenge. I wanted to ask a question please?, There are two brackets (1 for each side) that hold the lower fairing to the radiator that includes the indicator. Those brackets pinged off, I am not sure if I have re installed them correctly. I don't suppose you have a photo anywhere please? One thing I did note, the T6 bolts underneath headstock were a pig to locate and I found I had to re install panels in specific order else things didn't fit :( Once again thank you for your guide :)

      @thelikeablerider8800  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      do you mean those little silver brackets for the two bolts?

      +Shaun Tiger1050
      Shaun the brackets that hold the two silver bolts one ontop of the other, I am sorry I should have taken a photo :(, Thank you for your patience.

    • @thelikeablerider8800
      @thelikeablerider8800  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Think I know which ones you mean, but if you've managed to secure the fairing then they must be in right. Those little brackets are the thread to hold the bolts, so as long as you've got the secured onto the raditor, they should be fine, think they only go on one way. I don't have them on mine any more because I installed a radiator guard, and that comes with ones preinstalled, so the stock ones had to be removed. If that all makes sense?

    • @ritchsuk1840
      @ritchsuk1840 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shaun Thank you :) I was concerned because the brackets seem to move and float around until you secure the fairing in place. I need to take the bike back apart anyway as I have a funny feeling I may have not secured the 8M bolt ontop of the airbox securly enough, and want to double check I put the K and N filter in the right way around. I will say I took the bike for a ride and its fab with the K and N fitted! So much smoother and more responsive.

      glad you gave it a bash and that my video could be of help. Theres not enough decent videos for our bike on this sort of thing, so they'll be more coming. I have some others on the channel that might be of help, check them out brake and chain service etc. I will be doing more "how to" vids brake fluid, oil change etc, but mines due a major services before the garranty runs outs, after that I'll be doing it all myself. keep an eye out for the last vlogg before christmas. Thanks for the support on the channel, and don't hesitate to drop me a message if you have questions. Ride safe
