That makes SO much more sense, how odd that they chose to change the title just for the US but not the UK/International editions. I super wish I’d known the announcement was for the US only, but thanks so much for letting me know-I’m going to pin your comment (if you don’t mind) so everyone else can see it as well for clarification. On the plus side, now I’m even more excited to have both editions (yes, I’m totally walking the line between collector and hoarder at this point, I know)!
I don’t know, I’m not a rep or anything but I know they don’t ship everywhere yet…but I do know that people who want boxes that don’t ship to their country have talked about using an address forwarding service called Stackry if you’re really desperate to subscribe!
Thank you so much, that is SUCH a sweet thing to say and I’m so glad you enjoyed- I just cannot help but get excited about books, especially ones that are SO beautiful! And, fun fact, one of my husband’s uncles (uncles-in-law?) actually calls me “Bubbles”…but he ALSO hasn’t seen me before coffee.
Not gonna lie would love to see you do a video where you use those Probably Smut stickers to annotate some books :P Damn, Midnight Whispers box did NOT COME TO PLAY with how gorgeous their books are. Or at least the first one anyway! I'm sorry Owlcrate seemed a bit of a disappointment :(
Probably S,it used to have really specific and funny annotation stickers but the last few just say like “OMG” “HOT” and character names…if they go back to the cute ones I would think about it, but honestly I only pop in a tab if a line makes me totally pause. Midnight Whispers has some of the most amazing books- I wish they would just do a subscription already because too often I forget to order from them! And it’s like that with items sometimes, hit or miss- I’ve heard some months are great too so I’m not worried! 💕
I think I prefer the cover and end pages for Heartless Hunter, but that could also be because I'm not a huge fan of seeing character art on them - I like to have my own version before I see someone elses'. But I LOVE the sprayed edges that Fairyloot did so much I audibly gasped. I'm also now realizing that I forgot to sign up for their romantacy box waitlist and now I will probably never get on it...though my wallet will probably appreciate that honestly. Dilemma, the wallet or the bookcase: which to make happy? I love watching these videos, even though they also make me envious haha. You should consider doing a video where you talk about whether you think X book box is worth your money after a certain period of time based on items (if you have the box with items), the special edition, and how much you enjoyed the book itself. I think those videos are always interesting. Just a thought though, you never actually have to use an idea I throw out there. (also I adore that necklace! It's gorgeous!!)
So I think I’m a really strange in that I’m what I call. “self-insert” reader- I seen the world happening around me as though I’m in the shoes of the main character, so character art is fun but doesn’t really come into play a whole ton during my actual reading experience. Sometimes it’s just blatantly wrong or I hate the art style but usually it’s just so pretty…and, okay, I I like to see the outfits! But I REALLY liked both editions and I’m go glad to have both, especially with the different titles! And…my answer is pretty much ALWAYS the bookcase, much to my husband’s chagrin. But get on that waitlist now…and you’ll have plenty of time to budget? I definitely want to do a long-term comparison video between boxes, and the one I think I want to do MOST is one I haven’t subscribed to yet: Book of the Month is a total staple for me, and all of a sudden Aardvark (thats the one I’m eyeing) is starting to get some of the titles I’m most excited for, so I’d be interested in comparing those boxes- and there’s no waiting lists. Weirdly I think Bookish Box has the best items, and I’m really sorry I switched to the book only option because comparing them to Illumicrate and Owlcrate would be super interesting. I LOVE your video ideas and inspiration is always welcome, don’t hold back-I want to make the videos you want to see! (And thank you so much, I ADORE anything vintage or with vintage vibes!)
I told you NOT to ask! But I WILL tell you I rocked that cape on two different continents… And I love the artwork so much too, I get SO excited to open Fairyloot’s books so I can see their endpapers!
@@LitCouture 🤣 two whole different continents? Now that's dedication! When I was a teen I was partial to this creepy Gothic doll costume I had that seemed to unnerve people lol! So that's the costume I wore a few years in a row. Then in college I was a sweet honey bear! Talk about a 180!
@@jessicaallard9453 Awww a sweet honey bear sounds so cute! Somehow I doubt you’ll be surprised to hear I went from princess to…you know what, that didn’t change, I just followed my reading trajectory really. Always fairy tales, they just…grew up.
Neww unboxings vid!! Always love this!! I just read Bonesmith by Nicki Pau Preto and A Fate inked in Blood by Danielle L Jensen and they were so good!!! Loved them!!😊
Aww thank you, I LOVE filming them (but maybe not cleaning up after them and finding packing peanuts for days), although I spare you SOME of the gushing (believe it or not! I read Bonesmith in October and it was just a little too dark (figuratively and literally, bone magic is CREEPY and the only color aside from white, grey and black was the occasional green magic…my mental image felt like a giant sigh) and I needed more romantic payoff than I could get in a YA novel to compensate for the creep factor. But I’m SOOOO glad to hear you loved A Fate Inked in Blood (you read that FAST), I’m really looking forward to reading this one because I have a super soft spot for Norse mythology and was definitely getting some of those vibes (I mean..her name is Freya…).
@@LitCouture haha i get the cleaning !! I loved Bonesmith due to its creepyness that I didn't find it too dark, which is surprising for me? Since I don't read thriller/horror!! And I loved the romance or at least the alchemy between the two!! And yep, I DEVOURED Fate!! But it is SO addictive!! Definitely very Norse mythology and vibes, don't worry about that and these two characters... damn 💕💕❤️🔥❤️🔥 Psa; if you want to get ride out of the Fairyloot Édition of Crimson Moth, please do tell me, I'm interested!! By the way: also not part of Holly Black fandom lol. I read the Cruel Prince trilogy since they were entertaining and you kinda wanted to go for the next part but i will not pick the rest, it was enough for the entire serie for me haha😊
@@Briseisgone Oooohhh you’re making me SO excited for Fate, that is EXACTLY the review I wanted to hear! And I liked Book of Night (totally alone on that one) but the rest of Holly Black…not so much. I loved A Study in Drowning so I wanted to explore her work more!!
Hah, I wonder which of us will get to Once Upom a Broken Heart first because I wanted to get to it the moment the first book was ANNOUNCED because I loved Jacks from Caraval and now the trilogy is completed…..no comment Also do not romanticize the fae!? I’d have broken that rule the moment I saw the first one
If you’re like me it’s because you waited for book 3…and now you don’t want to read it because it will be over and it could almost NEVER live up the hype. And the fae would own me, forget it- which is probably what keeps me safe, I’m not a challenge and they know it. Oh the irony…
It’s crimson moth in the uk and heartless hunter in the us.
