Female cenobite was originally going to be called deep throat for her trademark gore that splits her throat open with some kind of ornamental head gear, also her voice having a deep quality denoting to her past influence as a nun, the voice of prayer, not corrupted. Deep throat was too suggestive and risque to slide so yeah we got "female cenobite" instead. In life before opening the box she was Sister Nikoletta.
Julia did not only raise hell but she made it, and it’s named Spheal.

Kryptonians were named after the noble gas Krypton, so draw new alien races based on periodic elements.

"Female Cenobite" I think that was a studio thing due to being too suggestive. Her original name was "Deep-throat" Cenobite. Like the other theologians of The Order of the Gash, her name is descriptive due to her very specific neck-throat wound being her primary attribute.
Yeah that's a pretty vaginal wound.
Weirdly their names came from the fandom way back when, Pinhead's name in the script is Priest for example, by the time they made the comics etc fandom had long since named them, but yeah, she's genuinely called "deep-throat"
Its also used in the same biological way too in the books so it's just different sort of genitals.
And on the credits of the movie his name is "Lead Cenobite" !

I love how Julia draws the most handsome men. But then when she draws women she just makes them big ol’ round shapes blob girls.
Thirty minutes of Julia drawing the most horrifying nightmare creature she can think of. Plenty of time to get into detail and set up the scene the way she wants it. I'm thinking Junji Ito type insanity.

There's nothing wrong with the female cenobite's original film design, but I actually really like Julia's drawing a lot more. It was incredibly detailed, creative, expressive, and I love the knife-like fingers on the hands! I only recently came across this channel, but I love seeing their drawings and techniques as to how they draw and yet make it look so easy.
I'm a writer primarily, but I still work on improving my drawing skills so that I could potentially illustrate my own books someday. Alas, my skills only go as far as basic cartoonish-looking characters. I have nothing against cartooning, I only mean that my work with it looks beginner-tier at best.
I have a very serious involuntary movement disorder that affects my legs and my hands so I rarely type anymore and use a system called Dragon Naturally, so my drawings are pretty much handicapped by this condition and so far it defeats the more realistic style I would like to go for in regards to my illustrations.
With the associated pain and constant tension in my hands and legs it's a wonder I get anything done at all anyway so on my good days I'm glad to be able to do what I can manage.

Oh and after some thought I've come to agree with some individuals who pointed out that it would probably be too much work for the "Seven Deadly Sins" idea so I've decided to shelve it for now or do away with it completely but thanks to everyone who supported it. Also.. I awoke one night in a cold sweat to find Julia looming over my bed and she held up five fingers with one hand and two fingers with the other and nodded her head disapprovingly.
Don't completely throw away the idea, but instead propose it to them as a multi-episode idea!

I kept having to remind myself that cenobite (cinnabite) wasn't a pre-packaged bite sized cinnamon roll you can get at your local grocery store but the name of a horrible soggy hot topic demon gone wrong

If you're going horror movie monsters that people wouldnt know, i would suggest drawing the puppets from the series Puppet Master. they all have simple names like blade and leech woman, but each have very unique designs, and i would even gamble that most no one who could be in the episode have seen any of the dozen+ movies
I have a few of the movies i bought them in those 20 random horror movie box sets
I'd love to see them draw Puppet Masters
The names are so simplistic but directed to get some very interesting designs

To be fair to the naming of female cenobite, Pinhead wasn’t named as such until the third movie. In the first two, he was listed as Lead cenobite and referred to as Hell Priest.

Holy moly...A time-travel movie with ghosts. That might be brilliant, actually! It solves all the "Don't get seen by your future self" stuff. So the hero travels forward in time to a moment after his own death to commune with his own spirit in order to learn...things....or something along those lines....Haven't thought this through, really....Anyways, great episode!
Also, given Savage Dragon was mentioned, and that I've been requesting it TIME AND TIME AGAIN, I might as well ask: Public Domain Superheroes when?

Tony, I think that pun was pretty damn central to both the original Stephen King novel AND Stanley Kubrick's massive re-imagining of "The Shining" with Jack Torrance's alcohol issues and the ghost bartender feeding into his addiction. It may not have been played for laughs, but it was there. (And yes, I know the Overlook was a hotel, not a house, but given that the Torrance family was acting as caretakers for it over the winter months, it became their house temporarily.)

Leather daddies is a pretty accurate description, considering the concept is basically reaching the point that the only avenue of pleasure left is the pain inflicted by the cenobites.

Fun Hellraiser Facts: Chatterer was actually a child before becoming a cenobite. The cenobites didn't get to choose how they look it's usually related to something they were known for when they were a human. All the Hellraiser movies after 4 were not originally written to be Hellraiser movies. The movie studio just kept shoehorning the franchise into other random movie scripts since they still owned it and kept hoping to make more money off of it.
As a fan of the first 3 Hellraiser movies (4 is only good for that sweet sweet lore) I thoroughly enjoyed this episode.
The worst part of hellraiser for me was when the dad in the original snagged the back on his hand on the head of a nail 😖

In the fourth Hellraiser, the future space descendant of the toy maker who first made the lament configuration tries to build the opposite of the lament configuration, the Elysium configuration to trap Pinhead forever by reflecting light infinitely, but that’s not how light works so it just blows up, but that still works to beat Pinhead.
Please draw children's show characters (i.e. Dora, Teletubbies, Blue's Clues, ect.) in a post-apocalyptic/Mad Maxesque style

Phenomal book to read about the Cenobites (and probably the most recent book) is the Scarlet Gospel. It’s a good read and I don’t want to spoil anything.
