Hello i think your plumbing on your Log Splitter is not hooked up right. i think your controls are hooked up backwards. when pushing the lever forwards it is supposed to go forwards but instead it goes backwards.
Yes you are absolutely right, I’ve since changed this by replacing the lever and linkage. This linkage and lever didn’t support reversing the direction (as you described)
It seems like your valve is working backwards. When you push handle forward the cylinder should be going forward in splitting mode and the return should be pushing valve back in. I guess it doesn’t matter but it just makes sense the other way.
Having same problem on mine same valve did what u did and still didn't fix it but mine work other way u pull handle forwards it goes forward then when push back goes back and don't kick off
@@StanwoodStudios I got it fixed had nothing to do with the detent had change hoses around the one that mount to ram had be in port b while the one on back end of cylinder had be in a how old valve I took off was the other way

I want to speed up the travel time of the Ram to split wood faster.

The valve handle linkage on my splitter was hooked up the wrong way in this video but same principle applies. Did you try adjusting that detent?
