This video reminds me of something I like to tell my children--I'll be the first to admit that I don't know everything..., but I know a lot.
You've been playing and teaching a long time, Mark, but you still recognize you don't know everything. I respect and like that you still look for "more" in your search for knowledge and performance. Great video! Cheers 🍻

Best video in ages Mark, didn't have quite the same technical approach in a lesson a month or so back, but similar ideas, better use of hips and reaching for the sky! Feels really alien and then you see it back and it looks really good.............must get back to practicing it!

Your not floppy your lazy ...you can comfortably drive it 262 (😛) and play 36 holes but driving it longer IS hard work...it's very demanding physically and so the natural choice is to hit it far enough with less physical demand. I'm not a golf coach but this applies equally to other sports...speed is physically demanding and to change your speed (and keep it changed) you have to put more effort in. We all like comfort and we like comfort even more the older we get....wait till you hit your 50's 😛

With the added benefit of hearing thoughts and ideas from a top coach - more please but we wanna see MC and CL go through a series of lessons with the same coach to watch you improve or not - can you get betta? LOL I want to carry the ball 278 so that i have 300 off the tee, at the moment my average on shot scope #252 i need more speed and control. i have 5mph more in the bag but uncontrollable at present

Fascinating piece and a great look into exactly what is needed in a golf swing. Question is how regular golfers can access this type of teaching and tech to help improve their game. I think that the application of tech into golf in general and the amatur game specifically is going to help and shape teaching and playing for years to come. Data is key on all aspects. We are getting it with playing, but practice is lacking.

I feel as a 55 year old, that hard turning speed swings are past my time in my golf career. I will continue to look for more efficient ways to improve, but feel that after 30 years of swinging one certain way, that the distance I will gain will not benefit me enough as putting and chipping and short game practice will.

It's been fun watching you gain and seeing the results. I found myself the little work i have done with speed sticks taught me to swing through. Really helped tackle my chicken wing. Now I just want to make a gentle full swing. I spent to long worried about impact. Swinging to make pretty arc fixes most problems. Assuming you worked hard to stay centered and rotate. I am not at 110 yet but maybe some exercising I can get there.

In my 20's I used to play like that and everyone told me to slow down (which I couldn't do) but now I am just trying to keep it measured and controlled with a slower, smoother backswing but I am also consciously focusing on turning instead of sliding.
