I was born in Flushing,Queens 1978,Argentine-American!!,I love my roots,I love Argentine cuisine, facturas, asado, pasta, panaderia!!,grand slam video guys,I remember pizzeria las americas back in the 80s junction blvd, classic 7 train.
This is perfect! We've been watching Sam and Audrey's videos in Argentina and we're craving this food so much. Love Argentinian food and pizza!! That one with ham and egg is perfect!
Thank you! Yeah they’ve been putting out a ton of Argentina videos. So good! Really enjoyed this first time Argentinian pizza experience - great crust here
those grilled meats and sausages, chorizo looks super good! had them with chimichurri sauce, could imagine the deliciousness, and oh the blood sausage, we love them too but never tried the Argentinian version, so intrigued :)
That parrillada was the best we’ve ever had from them on that day. Always good but this one was extra good. We love chimichurri and usually need extra haha. If you love blood sausage, we think you’d really like the Argentinian one
Hi Greg&Jumi, thank you for introducing some Argentinian food in Queens, NY. The slice of fugazetta had me salivating. I would definitely get that. El Gauchito looks like a fun place to eat, festive décor and colorful art. Do you know if the beef is grass fed?
Hi Minnie! Nice to see you here. We really enjoyed the fugazzeta and were pleasantly surprised by how light and airy the crust was. Didn’t feel weighed down afterwards. El Gauchito we highly recommend if you want Argentinian BBQ in NYC - meat quality, vibe and being in the center of the Little Argentina. It is always packed at night! Not sure if the meat is grass fed
I have not been to Argentina yet either. Thank you for taking me on this great culinary tour of the country. The empanada sounded delicious and so did that Dulche de leche pastry. My boyfriend loves Argentinian steakhouses so we go and get parrillada a lot.
Haha thank you! Sometimes with tender meats, especially beef ribs, can be that butter soft meat, but really wanted to emphasize it was tender but chewy in a good way
Hey guys!! Im Argentina and you don't know how happy I am to see you guys enjoyng our food! A lot of people doesnt even know that Argentina exists, so thanks a lot! Hope one day you can visit Argentina so you can eat the best meat in here, if you do, (spoiler alert) don't go to a fancy restaurant, go to "PARRILLAS" that doesnt look good from the outside, but have the best asado (its like bbq) EVER
50% off red wine!! I want some!! That Parrillada is one of the most incredible dish I've ever seen!! All the meat goodness and innards!! That's awesome they have the charcoal at the bottom, love it when they give this kind of care to the food to keep it warm and nice throughout the meal!
Such a great deal! We were so happy to stumble onto it. Parrillada is a dish of champions with all that meat, plus the sides! We really appreciate that too - they do put that level of care into the food and it shows
Argentinian pizza Fugazzeta looks massive for that one slice. Awwwhh that Empanadas look really good, spinach and mashed potato with the crust outside. Yums!
That's a nice surprise filling in the Medialuna. Jumi bracing herself before indulging into that dulce de leche goodness! I think it'll go so well with coffee, I can have that for breakfast and supper! I like how you dunk it into the coffee.
Argentinian pizza and breakfast looked yum! But man that platter of meat 😅 looks tasty but at the same time I would be in a sleep coma for 14 hours after that hahahaha. Medium rare 💯 sweet bread is that a meat innard or actual sweet bread? Wow Greg and Jumi you guys can eat 4 reals to fit in pastry dessert after all that 😂👍
It was good stuff! That parrillada was definitely the star of the video. Sweetbreads are innards - we ate them in our Uzbek food video too. Medium rare for life!! Haha that was our only meal of the day besides the medialuna and empanada before it. We try to intermittent fast as much as possible
My Grandma use to made empanadas for all her Filipino friends. can’t have a Food and Footprints without ☕️. Growing up I use to dip my pandesal with my coffee also. Love street art. You guys don’t mess around with your themed videos. That’s a troth of meat!!!!
Those Filipino empanadas are tasty too. Really can’t go wrong with empanadas - they are a great food item! Haha coffee is life! Pandesal in coffee is a great combo too, or in tsokolate. Definitely had to get a shot of that street art on the way to the parrillada! We definitely don’t mess around!
Uuff... Yes, Argentinian empanadas are awesome. Spinach and mashed potatoes sound awesome. We've never had a media luna though. Would love to try it. Jumi's face is priceless!
Chinchulin been absorbing all the fat at the bottom, I'm excited too haha!! Agree with Jumi, it's like an art museum in there! There's always room for dessert 😋 I love how flaky all those pastries are looking. I wonder if there's some Argentinian restaurants around here. I gotta try these!
Hahaha glad we got you excited about those chinchulines! This is such a cool spot with great food. Bet Argentinian food would do well out there with all the beef
We had Argentinean meat platter in Hobart, Tasmania but didn't make it to video but man sooooo good 😋 Never try Argentinian pizza tho. Boiled egg in pizza 😮 that's unique!
Omg the food looks amazing! I love the cork art of the couple dancing! I need to add one of these places to my list for my next visit to NY. Great video guys 💖
That pizza looks very full filling. When i hear Argentina I realise there's going to be beef we make that blood sausage in Guyana. South America. My home.country As a child i ate lots of it Love the video
It was fulfilling yet much lighter than we expected. Ohh would like to try Guyanese style blood sausage someday - we enjoy it from many different cultures. Thank you so much! Appreciate your comments and support 😁
7:44 omg that's meat heaven!!! The skirt steam damn!!! Ths sausages and chroizo... damn!! If I had some pitas bread with it wrap it..omg heaven. What a combo plate!
Meat heaven is right! Skirt steak and beef ribs were so on point and stars of the show, but the innards and blood sausage were great too. They do give you bread here, but not pita
We were so happy to see that deal! Makes sense for those weekday lunches when it isn’t too busy. Haha 6 average appetites or 2-3 very hungry eaters. Yesss glad you love morcilla too!
Pizza spot looks cool, definitely gonna check it out. Love Buenos Aires bakery, I go there a lot on my lunch break. My favorite empanada is the beef with olives in it.
Tomato and Pesto is a cool little spot tucked into a building on Queens Blvd - hope you like it! Buenos Aires is a gem - need to try their beef and olive empanada sometime. That medialuna with dulce de leche really blew us away
Lieles loooves morcilla sooo much, that day we went, we met a Spaniard in despana and told us he prefers the Argentinian morcilla more than the Spanish one. He kinda have a point lol
Glad Lieles loves morcilla! We like the Spanish morcilla we’ve had from Despaña before, but Argentinian is a whole different thing. We’re big fans of blood sausage in general too - Tibetan and Nepali blood sausage is excellent
Jumi likes the Spurs! But as a New Yorker and Knick fan who watched them lose to the Spurs in the finals back in the day, it’s harder for me to like them 😂
Thanks for the video, brought back some nice memories. Hopefully you make it to Argentina, it's a beautiful country. At least you can still eat like an Argentine while living New York. I'm in Argentina now and trust me, those spots you visited are just as good as most places you will find here.
Another great guide! All the cuisines of the world are available in New York. A parrillada is such a huge amount of meat though... I'm happy with a bife de chorizo and a dulce de leche for dessert!
First Time Watching you guys, love the history behind the food in the area. I love Argentinian food, and can't get much of it here in Utah....definitely having FOMO, lol
We got to try a bit of Argentinian food while at the border with Brazil, and really enjoyed the meat specialties. But we never got to try the wide diversity that exists. I was surprised to see the different culinary experiences, including that croissant-like savory pastry!
The pizza, media luna and BBQ meat all looked so tasty. Dulce de leche is one of the best things ever. I'd love to visit Argentina some day as well. I know you guys are situated in "pizza central", but I thought I'd share the details of a certain pizza that I really love and eat quite often: It's the Pan Crust pizza at Domino's with Six Cheeses plus Double Bacon and Alfredo sauce (lightly done)
They all were! Dulce de leche is great - we like it on top of flan also. We would love to visit Argentina someday too - looks like a beautiful country. That’s a hefty pizza!!
I went to Libertador, on the Upper East Side. The empanadas were delicious and both the skirt steak and hot malbec drink were incredible! Definitely will trek out to Queens, to check out other Argentinian spots. And Argentina is a bucket list!
Hey guys, As a fellow Queens foodie I’m really glad you guys are out there recording it all! Just one question, do you guys use a stabilizer for your camera?
Micro center on Kissena Blvd has a few cheap ones. You guys shoot all the time so it’s something you’ll use every shoot. It will smooth out all of your shots. You guys do a lot of closeups of food and tight two shots of you too, so think about it. I wish you could rent one just to see the difference, especially when showcasing plates closeup and at half speed. Love your dedication to our borough Keep up the good work!
It was tasty! We love thin crust style, but there’s some great pan pizzas out there with thicker crusts, especially when they’re airy and crisp like this
I was born in Flushing,Queens 1978,Argentine-American!!,I love my roots,I love Argentine cuisine, facturas, asado, pasta, panaderia!!,grand slam video guys,I remember pizzeria las americas back in the 80s junction blvd, classic 7 train.
Ahh that’s awesome! Can imagine all the great memories. Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed the video
Argentenian steak.. one of my fave foods on earth. Not exactly something I'd think of in NYC.
Oh man if you love it, this is the spot to go! La Fusta is another great option too
Jumi: "There's always room for dessert"
Next shot: not a room but a full mansion for dessert!
vivan los segundos estómagos para postres!!!! hahaha
Dessert mansion! 😂
The Parrillada looked SUPER Authentic.
Can’t wait to go to Argentina someday to have it there. This one is excellent! Definitely check it out sometime
It's actually calles "asado"
Love alfarjores. They are so sweet and soft. 😍
Never had cañoncito though! Gotta try that
They are! Recently tried one from an Uruguayan bakery that was covered in chocolate. That was really good!
@@FoodandFootprints gotta try that one
This is perfect! We've been watching Sam and Audrey's videos in Argentina and we're craving this food so much. Love Argentinian food and pizza!! That one with ham and egg is perfect!
Thank you! Yeah they’ve been putting out a ton of Argentina videos. So good! Really enjoyed this first time Argentinian pizza experience - great crust here
I've never tried Argentinean desserts, a lot of sweet pastries 😍🤤 I can eat them everyday!
This definitely has to be Helmi commenting on this one 😂
Food and Footprints- Greg and Jumi yes that is her
All that artwork too makes it such a great experience!
It does! We love the attention to detail here. Gives the place an awesome vibe to go with the amazing food
Mmm those pastries look great to start the day! I can't even decide which one I like more... they both look amazing!
They were! The medialuna with dulce de leche was soo good with coffee
you guys have a way of making me so hungry even after I've just eaten. Everything looks so delicious! You two go to the best places
Thank you so much! We love highlighting delicious spots and dishes
Empanada's YES :) one of my faves.
So good!
Those pizzas look SO interesting! Seriously never seen anything like the olive & egg one!
They are really unique! And tasted even better than we thought they would
Love the egg on pizza!! And the meat plate looked amazing!! Thanks for sharing and thanks for the support at Travel Global!!
Thank you for watching and commenting! The parrillada was amazing and we like egg on pizza too
5:48 music is so cute!
Haha thank you! Wanted to put some tango music in there
So cool with the painted tiles👌🏻 OMG time for DESSERTS🙌🏻🙌🏻
The painted tiles are awesome! Helmi’s favorite part of the episode 😂
#4 is my childhood bakery
That is awesome! What do you like to get from there?
Food and Footprints- Greg and Jumi 10/10 their vigilantes de crema!! Sooo soft and delicious
Thank you for the tip! Will need to try those next time
Jumi is trying to get you to get the medialuna in the coffee and you are just too busy savoring the dulce de leche hahaha
😂😂 it took me aback! That brioche flavor with the dulce de leche was SO good! Had to chill and enjoy it for a second
@@FoodandFootprints hahahah I don't blame you at all
O. M. G. BRING ON THE MEAT!!! This is the best thing I've seen all week 😍😍😍
Wow that says a lot! The meats were amazing and cooked perfectly!
those grilled meats and sausages, chorizo looks super good! had them with chimichurri sauce, could imagine the deliciousness, and oh the blood sausage, we love them too but never tried the Argentinian version, so intrigued :)
That parrillada was the best we’ve ever had from them on that day. Always good but this one was extra good. We love chimichurri and usually need extra haha.

Oooo Argentinian food!! You guys are definitely inspiring me to try new foods 😍
Yesss hope you get to try it!
Dessert!!
There's always space for dessert
There has to be some scientific evidence for it by now 😂
Love how Jumi got so excited with all the meat and red wine!
Yesss Jumi loves her red wine! You can’t find many better combos than red meat and red wine
Yum yum.. great job describing the Pastries guys.. Jumi is giving you a run for your money Greg.. fabulous job!
Thanks a lot, guys! Yeah Jumi nailed it on that description 😁
oh guys...when that meat plater arrives on the table takes the whole frame!! haha a good metaphor of meat importance in Argentinian cuisine!!
Haha you’re so right!
Medium rare team all day!
Yessss medium rare represent!
OWHHHH DAMN I love the intro already!! Such a teaser!!
