I know it's kinda stupid to ask but I can't really just try out builds on console so do you know if the roof triangle pieces can be placed on squares on console?

@@X3Rust okay ty when I tried my bunker last wipe I noticed the roof only wanted to place towards me and I couldn't put a normal one on a triangle piece and had to place triangles on them and assumed it worked the other way around, with this video I think I can jump my bunker from a 24 rocket raid to a 37.
I love how tutorial basically just means theory. Like you explained the literal theory behind bunker bases. 👍
So 2 things, due to a bug you can't currently soft side a wall that has a floor/floor frame at half height. As for the triangle roof bunker, you NEED to honeycomb the walls next to the twig floor frame as your can splash the twig with fire arrows, incen bullets or explo ammo

so when you softside if there's a half wall or a fram in the middle you can't softside it treats it as hardside, that's just a mechanic of the game
I still don't understand the purpose of a bunker base. I'm a newb, any guidance on the theory of WHY I'd want a bunker base over a normal base (i.e. pros & cons, what they're used for, and possible alternatives) would be very helpful!
An alternative for a bunker is just having a door instead, or maybe a dropbox bunker that doesn't open or close but those are pretty inconvenient
Bunkers are usually used to ensure the raiders have to go through a wall which cost more than a door

isnt a bunker very expensive i mean every time u destroy the stone wall will u have to place and upgrade again or not?
Are there any examples of bunkers that can be opened from the outside, obviously only with priv? Some examples I’m thinking of are for example, bunkered loot rooms in clan bases, or “the triple override” as a few, but they all practically either design around the bunker; or require extensive planning in order to add to a base. I’m looking for more of a stand alone bunker; like in the video, but something sealable from the top. So if you had multiple, you could quickly seal them all. And open them all from the top. Maybe the triple override is just what I should use.
Don’t think the triangle door frame one works anymore can’t seem to place it even with his help and going at it for hours

Im very confused okay so for the stability buker the designs i see always have 1 entrance and exit but if i seal from the inside how am i supposed to break the twig
you can just spawn on an inside bag in your core

I have a question for the roof bunker. When you have the floor tile above the roof, can't they soft side into it or is it unable to be soft sided because of the two roofs nearby?
Im sure you can soft side it but bc the bunker would be armored it would be vary hard
so i used the bunker nr1 in my build yesterday, and after upgrading to hq and destroying the twig this morning, the triangle does not go away :D Thank god i had c4 in bunker, so i could destroy it with 8 of them :P
Patches come that patch bunkers this video is old so no wonder it doesn’t work

did you forget the hot to build part?
I was experimenting with the triangle roof bunker in one of my builds and I found out that the twig gets destroyed by rockets from the outside (or antything with splash dmg) ... quite a disappointment :( do you guys know if there is a workaround for that?
I use the solid floor triangle instead of the frame. Upgrade it to wood and just soft side. Takes 1 and a half hatchets 👍

Is that because u can see the middle part is floor and want to blow it so u cover others so they dunnovyif it’s foundation or floor?
the second design doesn't allow me to place the roof because of the wall behind it. it doesn't matter where I stand but as soon as I remove the wall it allows me to place it. Any help?

You do it from the outside then deposit and kys spawn in the sleeping bag that is inside

With the stability bunker how do i upgrade from the inside
Add half wall somewhere in square foundation, square frame, and add triangle seal, put in twig on seal and destroy the frame and other half wall jig

Ive got to come out and say it, thats not a stability bunker. People have been lying about it. Its got nothing to do with stability and everything to do with the fact that floors cannot attach to the sides of foundations, and the only thing it can attach to in that first bunker is that half wall so when you remove it, youre basically destroying the only thing its attached to. Thats not losing stability, thats just destroying the object

I don't understand how bunkers work..
They basically exploit stability by using twig to hold up a metal or armored building piece. You seal and log off. When you get on in the morning you just break the twig and unsel your base

Adds alot to the raid cost and makes it so you need less doors
Instead of raiders blowing through doors, it makes them have to blow through walls/floors etc. which are way more costly. It's the only known way to have the absolute best protection for you loot.
walls are cheaper to build and more expensive to raid than doors. a bunker lets you destroy a wall almost instantly from the inside while still acting as a wall from the outside

@@mr.duckenson8048 you only seal the bunker when you get off for the night. When you need to get back in you spawn in your core, break the twig and the wall/floor

The second to last roof bunker is useless. People can just destroy the twig and the bunker opens.
