The Black Church raises 11 billion dollars a year, but if you were to put all of them together they wouldn’t make a Fortune 100 company.” - Tawan Davis This was a powerful interview, a call to action for the black church.

My husband retired after 20yrs from the Navy. He receives a full pension & our family has healthcare & medicine free for life. There are many paths to success.
You got let right: Barack Obama did nothing for the community.
My father came here as an immigrant & is at 80 wildly successful, his children & grandchildren are wildly successful. If you are born here you have a huge advantage that you don’t use.

So many gems. I humbly admit I was going to pass this one by because i wasn't familiar with this gentleman and was judging a book by its cover. 🤦🏾‍♂️ Now i need to watch again and take notes!! I got a history lesson, financial lesson, cultural lesson ... lots of food for thought. Thank you so much for this.

Tawan Davis is sssssoooo insightful; and ahehm, has a great voice! 😍😊
PS, the way you explain Japan's 100 year financial plan isn't exactly how it is. The 100 years financial plan is what the European/US colonist imposed on Japan as punishment for them losing the war with Germany. What that means is that a family can't keep newly created wealth nor assets in the family after 100 years have passed after said wealth was created or assets acquired. Read the book "The Lies my Teacher Told Me" by James W. Loewen.

This model is it really working for the masses in america when it comes to i make something you buy it eventually I profit and take care of my family forever. Etc

      Amen its about economic
Right and programs only putting folks back in poverty and driving them deeper into it.
People not voting cause they don’t see change.
So they stay stuck in cycles of fending for themselves and if you hearing talks like I do it always whatever.
So the question is how to get them to care about their own life and community.
Also folks are not slave to people-if that mind mentality can change it can be better.
Some folks have their ancestors blood running for selling folks.
Praying GOD cast them Spirits out.
