Despite the company being kinda crap sometimes, I think the groups themselves have a pretty close bond and BIGBANG's juniors under the company are fans of them, so it's really nice seeing them able to perform together sometimes. "Look At Me, Gwisun" was made by GD as a joke and he gave it to Daesung because Daesung has perfect vocals for a trot genre. Trot is insanely popular with the older generation in Korea and Japan, especially. So Dae went viral with this song. Daesung always has held such a special place in my heart. He's gone through a lot and people often bash him for his visuals (like are they blind???). He has covered his eyes and face for most of their career because of people hating on him (and after the incident years ago). However, I've always found Daesung to be the most sexy member and in Japan he's known as "Yabai Kang" which basically translates to "Dangerous Kang" because of how sexy he is. He holds the most popularity in Japan out of all of the BIGBANG members, plays the drums, and has stayed clear of social media during their career as he likes his privacy and has the same opinion about the media as the other members. Dae is goofy and insanely talented. That's why I chose him as my bias despite GD actually holding a stop as one of my ults of the industry. There's just something so charming about Daesung that once you notice it, you just can't get out of it.
When my daughter first played Big Bang at home I was like what are you listening too, then I heard Daesung's voice and I was like oh my who is that! I have been a fan of Daesung and Big Bang ever since and I love their live concerts. I really love Daesung's voice you were so spot on with your comments. To me a classic rock voice, is a voice like Daesung's and Kang Seung-yoon's, a voice that can rock, sound husky and clear, a voice with low and high notes and everything in between, a voice that is sung with whole body and sole to create a natural story. A voice that can not only rock, a voice that can suprise you and sway you into other genres like a beautiful heart felt classic song. They both remind me of Freddie, so passionate about their music with body and sole with amazing beautiful unique voices. A few years later my daughter was lucky to see Daesung and Kang Seung-yoon sing Ugly live and I so wish I could have. I would so love to hear them sing together again and I'm looking forward to the future to see them both explore music more with their own groups and their own solo adventures. Daesung not only has a unique look but also a unique voice. For me, he's one of the best vocalists I've ever heard and not only in South-Korea. He's also an amazing performer. He talks with the audience, makes them laugh. He's not only talented but also a very smart and practical guy. I love his sarcastic sense of humor. "UGLY" was originally by 2NE1.
The singer performing the cover of "UGLY" with Daesung is Seungyoon of WINNER - which is another group under YG. Artists under YG often cover one another and perform together. Despite the company being kinda crap sometimes, I think the groups themselves have a pretty close bond and BIGBANG's juniors under the company are fans of them, so it's really nice seeing them able to perform together sometimes.
"Look At Me, Gwisun" was made by GD as a joke and he gave it to Daesung because Daesung has perfect vocals for a trot genre. Trot is insanely popular with the older generation in Korea and Japan, especially. So Dae went viral with this song.
Daesung always has held such a special place in my heart. He's gone through a lot and people often bash him for his visuals (like are they blind???). He has covered his eyes and face for most of their career because of people hating on him (and after the incident years ago). However, I've always found Daesung to be the most sexy member and in Japan he's known as "Yabai Kang" which basically translates to "Dangerous Kang" because of how sexy he is. He holds the most popularity in Japan out of all of the BIGBANG members, plays the drums, and has stayed clear of social media during their career as he likes his privacy and has the same opinion about the media as the other members. Dae is goofy and insanely talented. That's why I chose him as my bias despite GD actually holding a stop as one of my ults of the industry. There's just something so charming about Daesung that once you notice it, you just can't get out of it.
When my daughter first played Big Bang at home I was like what are you listening too, then I heard Daesung's voice and I was like oh my who is that! I have been a fan of Daesung and Big Bang ever since and I love their live concerts.

To me a classic rock voice, is a voice like Daesung's and Kang Seung-yoon's, a voice that can rock, sound husky and clear, a voice with low and high notes and everything in between, a voice that is sung with whole body and sole to create a natural story. A voice that can not only rock, a voice that can suprise you and sway you into other genres like a beautiful heart felt classic song. They both remind me of Freddie, so passionate about their music with body and sole with amazing beautiful unique voices.
A few years later my daughter was lucky to see Daesung and Kang Seung-yoon sing Ugly live and I so wish I could have. I would so love to hear them sing together again and I'm looking forward to the future to see them both explore music more with their own groups and their own solo adventures. Will always be looking forward to another Australian tour.

thank you for the reaction and the bonus video at the end 🤣 daesung deserves more appreciation and should be known to the world. sometimes i think if daesung is put in a different group/boy band, he would really shine and get all the focus he deserves. with big bang, it is quite tough because each and everyone of them have strong characters. but that is why they are a very unique group. they are amazing as group and they are strong as solos.

“Look At Me Gwisoon” is a local korean music genre called Trot. It’s more on the traditional side, but tremendously popular locally (and maybe even more popular in SK than Kpop itself).
The original song is in Korean. GD made the chorus on the spot in a variety show and decided to create a full trot song for Daesung who fits the genre more with his voice and humor. It is later translated into Japanese to introduce trot to the Japanese audience.

If you want to get a better insight into Daesung, you really should check out the D'splay TH-cam channel. D'splaynim is very, very close to Bigbang and has unprecedented access to them. He was the only person who interviewed any Bigbang members after their Still Life comeback. His Daesung interview was extremely interesting lol. His drum covers are amazing too. Daesung suffers from a vocal condition and it is uncurable he can do a surgery but it won’t last. He said that if he ever lost hid voice, he wants it to be on stage. He sometimes do two concerts a day and both are 4 hours long. Im really worried about him :’

i'm sure someone must have already answered but seungyoon is the leader of the group Winner (also from YG) and seriously he is wonderful and the group too, the most famous songs pull more for summer pop, but the whole discography is great. the solos of the members are perfect. Yoon is one of my favorite vocalists, along with Yesung and Yoseob from Highlight/Beast.
