Interesting observations and thoughts. Much appreciated. And I totally agree. My “words to live by” as I enter the final 1/4 of my life (I’m now 75) are: humility, respect, patience, and gratitude. Not always easy to maintain, but for me, at least, the goal.

God morning Feral 👋🏻 I very much appreciated your observations. Well said my friend 🙏🏻 A much needed, and should be well heeded message for sure 👍🏻Thank you. God Bless 🙏🏻 Appreciate you always 🫶🏻 On a side note, that peak has an uncanny resemblance to a peak in south eastern Colorado called Fisher's Peak. Have a great day my friend 🌞

@@feralhikes8898 It's just under 10K in elevation, actually a dormant volcano. Colorado just opened a new state park around it recently.

You put up with decades of naval service and earned the leisure life. We are lucky to be alive. Happy Trails. Good Luck, Rick

I wouldn’t class satisfaction with performance/accomplishment/any job well done as pride but if that satisfaction turns into feelings of superiority or even arrogance then you have crossed a line. I hope the unnamed person learned how to fall. Sounds like you had a reflective day or maybe encountered some local “pride”?

Yes, after the fact, I realized the examples I had captured on film weren't all that good. The better ones I didn't capture and/or explain well....
