I love the cost of it, good job
Hi. The cheaper the better! That way you have more money for the important things in life, like new trains! Cheers, Andy
Nice one. The old-school coloured sawdust for scatter. It still works.
For soil I use, well, soil from the garden sifted very fine. Also, a great alternative for ballast is crushed walnut shells.
They are available very cheaply and apparently are used for polishing metal. A bit of paint of whatever colour you need and voila! Cheers!
Hi. I experiment with soil, but our soil at home looks fake when its on the layout! Good tip about the crushed walnut shells. I didn't know there was such a thing! I have just looked on the internet, and 1 KG of crushed walnut shells would cost me around $30 NZD. New Zealand is a great place to live, but it very expensive!! Cheers, Andy
@@Shelvington_Railway Ooh! I got 900g for about half that. Enough to fill 5 of the Wooldland scenic bottles:)
@@ausfoodgarden Thats NZ for you!! And to get it at $30 per kilo, I would have to buy 4KG. If I want just 900g that would cost me around $50. Like I said NZ is great but expensive!!!
