I love this reflection. Thanks Otto. From my perspective, I sense there is a blind spot regarding this subject: the source of stories. Stories are a powerful drive for human beings; values and narratives influence us in the decisions we make, the life we live, the friends we have, the things we buy, the person or the party we vote for, etc. I feel is important to ask ourselves: Where do we get our stories and narratives from? Who benefits for telling that narrative (besides the parties and candidates)? Does the owners of corporate media have interests in a certain outcome and therefore push an specific narrative? Glenn Greenwald did a very good video talking about this issue, mainly talking about the source of information, of stories, of narratives, and how the corporate media (funded mainly by pharmaceuticals) lost the narrative to podcasts like Joe Rogan. We are entering a completely new era. I feel really sad of all the division and polarization, mainly did by the political parties. As we all know their strategy for centuries: divide and conquer & bread and circus... They want us divided and distracted.
Your comment about Harris as status quo is deeply disheartening. I'm immensely disappointed in these comments compared with your original comments about Trump. You made false equivalency that doesn't exist!!! Harris was leaning into the missing third!
