Great video Lanewood! thanks for all the good work... I work with CB 11 pro but was not aware of this tilt feature, so I will use this next time. I usually go through all the notes of the singer with Variaudio, works great however sometimes I have certain notes, call it glide notes or even just single notes that are in between pitch. When I pitch them upwards they are somewhat out of key then, if I pitch downwards these are out of key as well so usually I keep these untouched but feel a little annoyed about this. Thanks again for this episode!
You are welcome. Maybe some of these techniques work on your slide notes as well. I would probably try to split them up in more segments and/or try “straigthen pitch” on them.
3:39 That pop-up window saying ''DO you want a new version or continue''. I clicked continue and dont ask again. Now if i want to change this again in the current project how and where can you change that again. Second Question: If i would open a completely different song project that happens to have multiple tracks with the same audio material, would Cubase just ask me again in that project with the same pop-up window or would it not because i simply clicked ''please dont ask again'' in a different project. I am very new to this world! Thanks for these videos my kind man!
@@JD43232 all those types of popups can be undone by finding the related setting in the edit - preferences dialog. Not in front of Cubase right now so can’t tell you where it is exactly. And I believe that particular setting is rembered between different projects yes.
Thanks! But when I double-click the vocal track, I don't see the keyboard or any of those menus on the left, including VariAudio. How do I get those to appear?
@@scotscub76 sorry to hear that. If you’re just in the audio editor with Caro audio disabled, can you hear the part? If so it is not related to vari audio at all. Must be a setting in your audio editor that prevents you from hearing the sound. Not on front of Cubase right now, but maybe check the Cubase forum for a similar case.
Hello , I hope you are well I have a question about Vari Audio Cubase Pro 13 It's not in sync with the project when running and is always in Solo even I haven't hit the Solo button The project ruler continues where it left off within the Vari Audio Editor only if I select VariAudio Editor Window
Please why is it that if i want to do pitch correction, once i shift it one key up or down, the voice will start sounding so weak, and will go away from the normal sound, pls help me
There are always some artifacts with pitch shifting but as long as the shift is not too big it should handle it just fine. Not sure what’s happening in your case.
I noticed that during your edit, the VariAudio Bypass box became illuminated. There seem to be three colours: grey, Yellow and Dirty Orange. Nowhere can I find any indication of what these mean. The 'Bypass !' pop-up appears whatever the status so that doesn't tell you whether it is or isn't bypassed. The Steinberg manual seems to be silent on the matter. Why they can't just have red for off and green for on I don't know.
How do you tune a vocal? Or do you stay away from it as much as possible?
Cubase is like the boss of all
Interesting stuff. You always make good videos.

i don't have those rhombs over the notes, so i can't change the pitch of the part of the note manually. how to make it to appear?
Thanks! A useful video

Very good! Used melodyne ara but it slowed my pc down.
Try variaudio. It’s quite good by now.

I have a question about Vari Audio Cubase Pro 13

Hmm, no idea really. Maybe you can post the question in the Cubase forum?
@@LanewoodStudios Hello dear sir, I have solved the problem by deleting the Cubase files inside Library /Preferences /Cubase13.

Please help me.I'm unable to change back to object selection tool. I'm stuck with range selection tool.
You can select the tool in the top toolbar. On some tools you can right click to get the other variant.
why I don't hear notes if I click on part of audio note
I'm not sure what you mean. It doesn't work for you as I demonstrate in the video?
Maybe you have Acoustic feedback turned off.

@@RicktheRecorder The way I remember it is that in bypass it is yellow.

does this pitch correction come with cubase 12 elements ?
This chart shows what is in which version of Cubase: www.steinberg.net/cubase/compare-editions/
For Variaudio, you need Pro or Artist.
Who left the gates open though
😂
Is this available in elements?
I think this is Cubase Pro only.
