Not one word about two drivers who just veered around a toddler in the road and just kept going? How about stopping your vehicle and turning on you hazard lights so you can use you car as a shield.

On another news video the father says. She went to the store. Took the older kids with her & left the baby's sleeping but she didn't lock the door. He should of said, what was she thinking. She knows better not to leave the kids alone.thank god someone was there to save my kid. Well anyways. She should ve charged for child indangerment. Thank God for that lady that grabbed the child. No offense to my Comment. Just saying.

It is traumatizing? I am a retired LE Officers and watched the same scenario from my patrol car 100’ away as a huge sedan barreled into a little boy killing him before my eyes. I held his little hand as he took his last breaths on this earth stroking his broken little head stating “ it’s ok little man , it’s all ok now” and he died.
I spent 30 yrs carrying that around , the loss of two friends killed in the line of duty and myself hurt twice requiring surgeries. My struggles are immense however , about 15 yrs ago I dropped to my knees and cried out to Jesus !
Not an easy road but his road and he saved my life ! I owe everything to Jesus.
Please do not forget you LE Officers as they hv Been disparaged and disregarded the last 4 yrs under this evil WH .
I am very joyful this little guy will be ok today !

Seeing a kid die, because you signed up to be a first responder, causes you immemse struggles? Everyone who is a cop shouldnt be. I dont know what they do to ypu guys in the academy to make you so jaded that army rangers and marine raiders are more personalable and connected to the real world than any cop. They have to see worse stuff than cops but you dont see them commenting for sympathy due to immense struggles. I think whatever it is that the police forces their recruits to sign ndas before the academy is what gave you immense struggles.
How does it feel being retired, collecting a paycheck that equals the pay of 4 new officers? I used to be supportive of the police, that was until i had to report i was a victim. Ive heard police say that being nice to victims ruins their investigation. Criminals hate cops, but if victims hate them too then theres sonething wrong with them. So glad you choose to retire. God knows how many cases you wouldve screwed up if you chose to not retire like most boomer cops. Boomers dont want to retire cause every year they work they get a 5% raise. How nice. So one fat old lazy cop who cant arrest a villian for squat gets paid 200,000 a year but the new rookie who can actually do the job gets 52,000 a year.
Zero sympathy. You got into a job when it was a priviledge to have that job. ZERO sympathy. Thanks for retiring like you should. Enjoy your $8,000/month pension.

Twice officer of the year and seem more tough times and survived them ; more then all your tears you spilled over being mistreated then labeling the entire lot of all LE across the USA as bad because you did not get your way puss face !
Here is the deal ? Next time you hear a bump in the night and need help ! Call your mom ? Or Friend ?
Stop sniffling ! I never asked for anything for me ! I am still working as a carpenter / contractor today up at 4:30 am everyday to make ends meet ! Not a problem sissy boy!
You’re the problem ! You’re the typical entitled whiny low T man! Here take this to the bank ?

I do think a full fledged investigation is warranted.
A parent's first duty is to protect their child from life threatening circumstances. And in this case, even if the mother has a known psychological struggle, that is no reason to neglect her children to the extent that she did.
Personally, I think that the authorities should no longer allow the children to be surpervised by her. If the father isn't home, the children should stay with a relative, to ensure they are safe
(Just imagine this other scenario: The same woman is depressed, takes an antidepressant, falls asleep and the same kids enter the bathroom, sink in the toilet and drown.
Are you seeing the risk this woman's depression poses to the lives of the two children?
If not a car, almost anything in her home--a knife, a hot stove, an open window, a bathtub--without supervision can take the lives of her children 💔)

How could the mom be cleared and allowed to be with her children? She clearly cannot take care of them.
If the child had been killed they'd be setting up a go fund me because of her incompetence.
So now she has the chance to let this happen again. That is incompetence of everyone involved. Poor children don't have a chance.

So you obviously don't use your brain to the full capacity to understand when you hear she has her own child in her vehicle that she was trying to keep safe as well. It don't take much of a brain to understand the danger she is putting herself as well as her own child to put her car into on coming traffic not knowing if the other drivers are sober and paying attention.

@emilyellis4860 ...please quantify the calculated risk associated with each 'mental challenge' you say she possessed. Because mere postpartum depression does not mean dad ahould have known that she would wilfully neglect her child or knowingly allow him to run down the street.
