Based on your review, I bought this vacuum. About $130.00 at Lowes. I dropped it off at the job, but wasn't there when they started using it. Everyone was extremely impressed. When I heard it, I thought there was something wrong. Nope, nothing wrong, just not used to a shop vac being so quiet. It has great suction. I've had several over the years and settled on the Rigid for the last few. No more. I've never seen a vacuum as good as this one.
It is so quiet. Deserved repeating.
Thanks for the review. You sold at least 3 vacs for DeWalt.

Now dewalt needs to make a flexvolt version of this vacuum. Double flexvolt battery with corded adapter option that they already made for miter saw. Dont know why dewalt refuses to keep doing this. Or at least a 60v vacuum with the option to use a 2nd battery if you want for extended runtime.
I believe dewalt should really start expanding into larger flexvolt tools that are 60v but have 2nd battery optional. Everybody else doing requires 2 but dewalt doesn't need to because of battery already being a higher 60v. The 2nd battery would be more for runtime. Although for a vaccuum corded or cordless would be best if both worlds

Bought this vac a few days ago after contemplating building a silencing enclosure for my current Ridgid. $130 saved me HOURS of work and easily that much in plywood, hardware, and misc materials like sound dampening foam. This Dewalt stealth sonic vac is easily one of the best shop upgrades I've made. Total game changer to be able to just turn it on without having to go put on hearing protection. Ironically the sound of air rushing into the tool or hose is often louder than the vac motor!

Dewalt been stepping up their game. Nice stuff. I have a 15 year old ridgid 5 gallon I got when I got tired of lugging around the 12 gallon beast. If you ever have to move a full 12 gallon vac full of water you will wonder what the freak were you thinking. Now I also have a small m18 vac that because it’s cordless is so much more convenient it’s crazy but would never consider sucking up more than the bottom of a toilet holding tank or maybe a trap of water. But because of is cordless would go with that over just cleaning up with rags. Would not even think of trying to get a full size shop vac in those spots. For the big water jobs I’d go hose and pump over a vacuum. I like my old 5 gallon been chugging along for years and it’s great for cleaning up cars but have hardly used since I got the m18.

Shut up and take my money! That noise difference is unbelievable. One less noisy tool on the job that kills all communication. This is huge.

No. I bought that same vacuum. The box had missing parts. It was so loud it bothered the neighbors. Suddenly completely stopped working the 5th time I used it.
I will never own another DeWalt anything as long as I live.

If anyone from Dewalt is reading this you need to fix your battery powerd flashlights. Adjustable brightness would be appreciated. And lower the cost. If I'm paying too much for something dos it really matter what brand it is.

You’ll have to pry my Ridgid vac out of my cold dead hands! I just got it and now you got to show it up? Right after I passed up on the Dewalt? Lol

I have always hated the onboard storage for extensions with shop vacs. I believe it is an industry not so secret built that way so you lose the attachments and extensions so you have to keep buying them.

Very impressive. Nice and quiet. What does it cost compared to home depot vacs?

This is $180 for the 12 gallon, so a bit more expensive
