  • Bob Pellerin (CTOBOB) shows his 2015 Lexus RX350. The luxury SUV is comfortable, quiet and reliable. At 100,000KM (60,000 Miles) it is in great shape, having had no mechanical repairs except for four complete breaks and regular oil changes. The V6 is strong enough to provide fast acceleration and a very smooth ride!

    I have a 2010 RX450h, which is basically the same model like this one, in hybrid form. Smooth and quiet is the words that describe it the most. And utterly reliable. Only the suspension is a bit stiff on hard terrain, especially at low speeds. Mine also came with the brilliant Mark Levinson audio system.

It is the only vehicle new or old (2011) to current 2023 that was designed to protect the driver if you have utilized setup for the primary operated. Meaning it was designed to prevent accidents that could occur & if utilized properly (Set up Settings) , It has a record of no fatalities when utilizing the proper Settings @ Medium. Lexus could not figure it out but told us it was probably the “Radio Head” and it would be $3500 (for the part) which we elected to not have done..It also will reboot the navigation on a longer trip, I wonder if anyone else had these issues?

    I'm looking for a well maintained RX in my state. the toyota equivalent of the RX, the highlander, with the same year and similar mileage has a higher cost than the RX. There really is a Toyota resale premium in the market, so this generation of RX (2013-2015) are a steal to get soon as car prices continue to drop.

    • @Remember.19.something
      @Remember.19.something ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is considerable difference in cost between a 2015 and 2016. The 2015 is the final year of the 3rd generation. The 4th generation ushered in significant changes.
      I’ve owned:
      2001 RX 300
      2010 RX 350
      2013 RX 350
      2016 RX 350
      2001 was “ok”. Lexus was learning at this point. I’ve driven 2nd generations RX’s and found it too similar to the 1st gen. The 2010, 2013 and 2016 were/are all amazing. 2010 and 2013 were same generation, one was pre and one was post refresh. The 2013 felt cleaner, less buttons, updated navigation, front and rear lights and the mouse gained haptic feedback and worked better. Classic lines.
      Only Lexus fans can distinguish the differences between pre and post refresh in the 4th gen. Love how 4th gen went for 7 years. Kept mine the “new” for that long.
      5th gen began 2023. I like that it’s not a huge leap from the 4th.

      Best tires? That’s a hard one. Depends on your concept of best. You’re going to compromise on road handling, durability and cost. If you live in northern parts of the globe then it’s not going to be the same tire as someone in the south with no or little snow/ice. I really like Nokian overall.

When things tend to fail, they cost an arm and a leg. The lexus is made for comfort and is still friendly on your wallet if it ever needs to be repaired. It's the keeper of the bunch!
