Voted for you guys! You two do a fantastic job!! I never miss an episode! I learn so much! Been a Mets fan since the mid 1960’s so I’ve seen almost everything. Was 13 when they won in ‘69! Now here is my question. How about giving Noah Syndegarrd a tryout for spot starting and long relief? Or is he just done?

Voted! Good Luck!!! I don’t know if I would say the Mets’ have leverage watching vientos handling some tough grounders. Joe, you watch players skill set how does that translate to 1st also you take the best weapon with his arm. Pete can scoop the ball incredibly well including from Lindor. Pete has been able to succeed & he’s a run producer in NY, he performed in the playoffs despite an underwhelming regular season. A bad year from Pete is better than 85% of most good years, imho.

I’m gonna blow your mind with some numbers that I bet most of you don’t even know exist… But Soto hasn’t hit his prime yet. He has a better on-base percentage batting average and OPS than Ohtani for their career…. Ohtani only had 100 RBIs once outside this year it is career! I’ll even go further and say Soto career numbers are comparable to judge and would you consider that he’s not even in his prime yet probably gonna get better it’s crazy! Ohtani hit 252 when he was 26 judge hit 270.

Guys! What about moving Brandon Nimmo to D.H. He's still not running and when his plantar situation went really bad, he was unable to play both offense and defense. If we do this, then go out and get Anthony Santander to play left field. Brandon's a left-handed hitter who can hit .280 with 80 RBI's and 23 homers and by turning him into a DH, you keep him healthy...something he wasn't last year.

I want Pete back. His numbers are trending into the decline but he's still a good bat this offense needs. We have no idea if vientos will have another season like 24' or if alvarez will find his swing again. The only offensive threat the mets have at the moment is Lindor and Soto, that's not enough. Starting rotation is also a bit questionable with montas, stearns is banking on another severino project. I personally want the best team the mest can build for the money they want to spend. If they can do that without giving away prospects (it seems stearns is keen on keeping them) then go ALL IN. We have Lindor and Nimmo in their prime, Soto is 26. Bring in Bregman, move him to 2nd, keep vientos at 3rd assuming they get the deal with Alonso. I like winker for his energy and the vibes he brings to the team but Santander would be the better DH.
if Pete gets a better offer elsewhere, move vientos to 1st and you have to sign bregman. Mets need good hitters ahead and behind of soto or else signing him was a waste of an opportunity. opposing pitchers will just pitch around him and he's an easy DP.

It absolutely is NOT Steve Cohen’s “job” to build a team “within the confines of this market.” Cohen’s “job” is whatever he says it is. In turn, the “confines” pertaining to Stearns’ job are set by Cohen.

I hear what you’re saying regarding Pete Alonso but don’t underestimate the presence of his bat in the lineup. If the Mets want to maximize the offensive performance of Soto - given that huge investment- they need a batter with the presence that Alonso brings to protect him. I’m sorry but Mark Vientos doesn’t do that.

I'm trying to understand analytics changed the game so batting average doesn't even mean anything but I remember a time where 33 home runs 88. RBIs was an amazing season. Does Pete deserve 200 million maybe not this is not the steroid error but when a player got older he either moved to first base or dh and Alonso may not be a gold glove first baseman but he does a more than adequate job for the last 5-6 years. my biggest question is if the Mets didn't get Soto they would've been going after Pete. Like give the man his flowers. His age 30-35 is his prime

Guys don’t loose track of the real point here, last year we got senga and 4 reclamation starting pitchers, nobody else because we were getting ready for off season with real free agents, guess what we went to the playoffs last year, almost all the way, all we heard from new gm stern and owner cohen that we were going to go all in, moving forward to now, what do we have, 3 reclamation starting pitching, manea and Peterson hopefully do like last year senga hopefully not injured, altogether 6 starters, are you guys comfortable with this? Be real now, we got nothing! Crochet was available we missed, Burns was available missed, that is just starting pitching, we have no DH at all, nobody else 1B at all, no relievers at all, HOW ARE WE COMPETING, if anything give me last years team minus Soto, why get Soto and nothing else? We are going backwards gentleman, no stanek, iglesias, Winker, severino, Quintana, WE NEED HELP, wish cohen and sterns start working because to me Soto alone and loosing Pete and all I mention, what is the point, they lied to us during playoffs, STERNS thinks he’s in Milwaukee or Oakland as gm, someone needs to tell him we are New York, stop the nonsense of all these triple A players, they lied to Soto, in the interview he said he sign here because of direction team owner was heading, well Soto call these 2 guys tell them to get going, we’ll need major leaguers, enough sterns getting triple A players

Mets fans are way too emotional and overvalue homegrown players. If Pete wasn’t on the Mets not a single Met fan would give Pete anything longer than 3 years with an opt out after year 1 with Vlad Jr being a FA next year. The moves that makes the most sense and keeps the Mets with the most positional flexibility and it’s Bregman and Santander ( on a 3 year deal with an opt out after 1 ). Getting Bregman and Santander allows the Mets to use the DH position to give guys rest from playing the field and makes Marte and McNeil expendable and a sneaky guy I would pick up for 2B is Ha-Seong Kim on a short term deal to use at 2B as a defensive stud. Mets can’t put that much pressure on Vientos to where he has to improve defensively and repeat the season he had or be better. Bregman and Santander allow Vientos and the young kids not have all that pressure on them to produce right away at their best it’s better to rely on the vets and whatever the young kids produce is just the cherry on top.
