It pretty much looked like the molasses’s did when I started extracting!

i know most detailers try to avoid the ceiling because its usually a soft ceiling and those are harder to clean because theyre a different material from the seats and carpet
Most ceiling have a foam liner under the cloth that will tear and separate from the ceiling if cleaned with anything other than a light scrubbing and vacuuming. No cleaner solutions or shampooing.

It’s not the fabric it’s the foam beneath that gets ruined, I’ve seen it cleaned with an apc and a microfibre on something that was really bad but generally they seem to be left unless really bad
Maybe try pulling the vacuum apart once in a while? I’ve found sometimes the vac gets clogged with hair and hay and fur past where the tube meets the vac. Standard house vacs would have 4-7 Phillips head screws to undo on the underside. If you’re looking for a new vacuum, a workshop vacuum will last longer. (Looks like a tin trash can, but with plastic and a set of wheels)
Rinse dirty tank with hot water, empty clean tank, rinse hose and head with hot water. Then, let the unit sit in pieces so air gets to them and prevents odor... keep unit in pieces until the next project

Sodium percarbonate is unbelievable for stain removal. I've gotten 100% stain removal on cleaning my fabric and mats with it. It oxygenates the dirt from the fabric. Agitate mixed with regular laundry detergent (powder), instantly improved

The SUV that I just did didnt have goats, but they had dogs who used the whole vehicle as their bathroom 🤢 and I think the owner rolled around in a vat of grease before he got in the vehicle. Got it looking (and smelling) like new tho!

After working for four years in an asphalt lab the only thing that works on butimen is gas and then you have to use coca cola and supergreen to get the gas out before you can wash it.

I like using compressed air. I have a gun attachment with a long nozzle with a rubber tip at the end. I think you should give aerosol dressings a try
