The 1972 Scottish Cup Final. There were over 200 arrests in a crowd of over 106000 as fighting raged on the West terracing for most of the game . Hibs were hammered that day but returned a few months later and beat Celtic 2-1 to lift the League Cup.
@@iandocherty5401 Did you spot Johnny Cash in that massive crowd Ian? Scottish football had some great teams back then ..Celtic, Hibernian, Aberdeen, Hearts,Dundee Utd, and yer own team as well😉 incredible crowds back then and always way more than the 'offishul' attendance figures given.
@@studslannigan6286 a few guys in the crowd looked like Johnny Cash😊,,,, my dad lifted me over the turnstile in 63,, the official attendance was 120,000 but there was thousands more than that,,, amazing crowds in those days,,, take care mate👍
A was only 7 then a was with ma dad and Uncle across from Main Stand slightly nearer OLDCO end what a performance against a great Hibs side who beat a now defunct Rangers side who were about to win a now defunct European trophy 🇮🇪🇮🇪☘️☘️
What a strange, eerie extract this is. It was just about the best match I was ever at as a child but I would never have guessed it from this
Really enjoyed this.
Weird but interesting!

This is 1972. Celtic beat Hibs 6-1 in the Scottish Cup final. The Clyde Fair International (see 9:40 advertising board) was in 1972
Hibs were a great side then but Celtic were on a different level and I'm a Rangers fan
The longer hair on the young lads gives it away.
