I was 11 when this came out. I'm a New Yorker who didn't start getting into ska & 2 Tone till 5 years later. Me and my friends got to meet the Skatalites twice. I hope to see all of the greats before it's too late 🇯🇲 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 🕴💃🏿😁
Happy days. Remember watching this when it first went out. I must have been thirteen. Thanks for posting. Still got all my 2-Tone singles and albums. First band I ever saw was the Beat. I was very sad to read that Brad is no longer with us and Neville is not well. BTW, 23:09 Is that the first time that word got past the BBC censor, I wonder.
Same here, I've still got all the 2 Tone vinyl :-) There is one extreme rarity which I haven't got and that is the 2 tone promo EP for the 2 Tone Story LP. Yeah I was shocked that Brad died and I hope Neville will get better.
@@skavillecity I don't know that one. I think the rarest I have is the single by the Swinging Cats. Can't remember what it's called off the top of my head. I do know my 12" of Ghost Town has gone walkabout which is slightly annoying because it had the classic Walt Jabsco sleeve which I think was quite rare. I believe Elvis Costello released a single on 2-Tone at some stage, although I'm happy to be corrected. I did buy some of the later Special AKA stuff but it is very dour and just a little bit too much a a lecture for me. Still got them, mind you.
I remember it well, I liked the music but never followed the trends like some of the hardcore two toners at school, the next day I went round asking all the porkpie wearing lads if they'd seen it and what the song was with the "C" word in it, but none of the buggers saw it 😂
Greetings from Humboldt County, California. I've been a 2 Tone fan since the early 80's. Watching this a few days after Terry Hall's passing. R.I.P.
