Competitor to the SB2 at $50 cheaper is pretty crazy. Can’t wait to get them on feet.
My running club has 108 members, 107 have the Novablast in their rotation. Good for most workouts plus give you 600 miles. Unfortunately they are becoming impossible to find on sale.

Underrated: Saucony Sinister. 4.9oz; feels like a slipper. Great on the track. Plus, it lets you use the muscles in your feet naturally.
I was surprised and impressed with the Hyperion 2. More cushion and bounce than expected for a lower stack speed shoe. I realized the positive reviews and it was my first Brooks in many years but it feels great to run in. So yeah don't sleep on that one.
I’ve had that Anta tab open on my phone for a while and the more you keep talking about it the closer I get to pushing the button.
I have been all about the Hyperion GTS 2 this year - really impressed how versatile it is and actually use it quite a lot for daily runs which I wasn't expecting!
Totally agree on Topo Phantom 3. Best fitting running shoes I have ever owned. The lock down in the midfoot and heel is amazing while having a nice wide toe box. I'm using them mostly for fast walking on my off run days and shorter runs as I to try and adapt to a lower drop shoe. Currently most of my running shoes are 10-12 mm drop. I'm a 195 lb runner and they are a great balance between being adequately cushioned but still stable enough for me. I also appreciate the forefoot flexibility as more of a natural running feeling. I'm not a fan of stiff shoes with large rockers.
Your value picks were also interesting. Might be helpful if you broke them into categories although I do think you did touch on a lot of them. For some the best value might be a shoe that provides value purely in its class. For many, value is being able to do more in a single shoe. Having 4 pairs of specialized shoes gets really expensive for most of us. Having training shoes that are also reasonable to race in is a good class to consider.
I would also like to see an episode that focuses on shoes for bigger runners. I think that's worthy of some conversation and applies to a lot of runners. You might need to talk to some of your bigger runner friends on that one for inputs.
I'm a finn, Karhu is a reasonably popular brand here and I had no idea they made running shoes. Their clothes and sporting gear are carried in supermarkets but none of those products are listed on their website. Actual sports gear shops barely have anything by them. What a bizarre situation.
I'm waiting to receive my Asics SuperBlast 2, and I hope it rocks !
But I got to say that I bought a few shoes from Asics this year, and the one I loved the most was the Gel-Cumulus 26, followed by the Gel-Kayano 31 and them the Gel-Nimbus 26. In the last position was the Nova Blast 4 with a score of 7/10 . I still don't understand the buzz about these shoes, 200km ran and still just average overall and the grip is horrible. For the NB5, Asicz got to focus on the grip first and then middlesole update. It almost as slow to me as the 1080v13 ...
Adios pro 3 (admit biased cuz got on sale x2) but has been so durable for a super shoe …. Would pick up on sale when v4 comes out maybe ? Upper has not worked for some but has not been a problem for me if I remember not to tighten laces too much :-)

The tread on the Skyflow is terrible when wet.
Weight is meaningless if one shoe is narrow and the other wide. I suggest get a scale and weigh your own shoes. Your Novablast looks elevator especially with bright sole. I wish the elevator shoes had darker soles.
Love the novablast, but I will admit: showing up at local run clubs and races, its a shoe I do not see often. for the $140 price tag, its very much worth it.
