Lovely video ❤. I use CXC floss on 30 of my 31 full coverage pieces, I use DMC on the one I started first because I kitted it up fully, cost me a lot of money so it will be used. I kitted most of my projects up fully. I also have 3 full sets of CXC beside that. I am a bit of a yarn hoarder 😊😂. I have a full set on Annie’s Keepers next to my stitching spot and stitch from that and refill from my extra stash. If there is a big block of one color, I have those skeins in the project bag so I know to use that.

I love the idea of combining all the floss from multiple projects. I’m going to give this a try. Would be the end of kitting up every project, just buy the colours that use more than one skein to put in reserve. Did you end up showing us what you bought that isn’t cross stitch related. Not sure if I missed it. Love your projects and property.

Sounds like you’ve been super busy! I have a master set of DMC which makes it so much easier to see what colours you’re low on. And even better I can start any project because I know I have ALL the colours for it 😂😂

I bought a full set of cotton DMC alternatives from Ali express for £55 and then I had some DMC in my stash so I just amalgamated. I don’t mind having a slightly different dye lot if it’s in different areas but won’t start a large section of the same colour if I don’t have enough.

The big floss ball would be a challenge to separate it does look pretty though. That much for immigration that’s a lot let alone building supplies. I pray that your turmeric starts flying off the shelves I have read about its wonderful benefits and thought about taking it for myself. And the stitching the most important thing is that it never gets wet then that you continue to love doing the stitching on them. I love all your projects my favorite is the yellow flower then the pink and I never thought I would do one but the blue abc one don’t remember what it is called but I like it. Thanks for your video always enjoy catching up with your life. The reason I can’t stitch multiple projects is because of the time it takes to complete one let alone 20 or so. Also I use bobbins and must have the stitch symbol on the appropriate colour bobbin. Each to their own! It must take ages ensuring you have selected the correct shade of a particular colour if the bobbins or keepers are just numbered.
Hi Pat, no not really, as I use patten keeper, so as soon as I pick a symbol, it tells me the colour, so I just go straight for that colour bobbin. You don't need to lab them with symbols too 😀 hope all is good with you xx
I love your projects and use of yellow. I’m stitching Peacock Daze which is the bigger version of Peacock Love. I stitched that whole part and it’s much smaller. It’s nice to see it done bigger. If you want to go one step further with bobbinating, you can get the full set. That’s what I have done. Although I can’t say I’ve bobbinated every skein yet. Your property and animals are beautiful. You should check out atom heart cross stitch, they have bobbin floss drops that you can use both ways. You can also store them in bobbin boxes but put the floss on like you would a floss card or floss drop 😀the best of both worlds lol
Fabulous work so far love the yellow picture keep it going will be worth it in the end. When you are used to your own space then Dad moves in for a while lol. I pick up after my husband and son everyday looking after men is like looking after children but they do have their benefits having around lol. Love your horse Holly she is so cute. Tell me this as I know nothing about horses does the hair grow long and you need to trim it. Leaflets is a good idea along with samples you could also get a barcode printed on so that the customer can scan with their phone for more information that directs them to your website then you can sell more of your goods etc. People tend to loose leaflets but information would be stored on a phone. That was funny of your Dad making fun. Anyway looking forward to your next video.
Hi Daisy Rea, thank you....I think Dahlias is my favourite at the moment. And you are so right. I have a routine, and that goes right out the window when dad comes. Bless him. In the winter their coat grows long, so they need to be clipped if ridden hard in the winter (they get too hot otherwise) mane grows too, but I'm trying to get that to grow a bit more. It's thick in one area and thin in the other. Bar codes is a great idea. May even look at putting q codes on my merchandise. What a good idea! Thank you! Hope you have a great month stitching xx

Good to hear your okay and nothing dreadful happened throughout April. Take a look at Nicola Simply a Stitcher. She's got nine full coverage going and she put a video up showing how she does her threads. She has one set of colours in bags with their numbers in one container by her side and just picks out of there. It looks so simple. I've tried many different ways of thread storage and if I hadn't just spent £50on hangers I'd od done it her way. Hope you have a good May, and don't forget this is our hobby and we mustn't be a slave to the prompts. Stay safe🤗🇬🇧
I sympathize and empathize…I love my family but needing to live in close proximity is challenging. I cannot let on that I have multiple projects so I have content for my flosstube. Yes pattern keeper is lovely but I would really love it if we got a fireworks or congratulatory message when we finish a project. It wouldn’t be that hard for them to program it.

I’ve just bought the full doc bobbin set from pip and chip and I’m going to use that as my master set so I only use that for all of my projects

Do you buy all the colours for a project or buy as you go. Do you risk having a slightly different dye lot if you order as you go?

DMC colour shades don't always match sometimes so I wouldn't spread one bobbin across several projects.
